  1. @MISkier, With the cold temps. ( BI -43 ), bad water conditions and being on a tight schedule, I just grabbed the first available boat, (16 TXI). A number of skiers there mentioned how soft the wakes were compared to previous models. With one quick pass up and down the lake after a month off in poor conditions, I not sure how they can make that claim, I know I couldn't, ( but hopping it's true). After looking at the 17 in person it going to take a while to get used to looks. Back looks like a N autique with the front of a MC. Fit and finish are normal Malibu quality. The dash with analog gauges and the color patterns on the hull will take some time to get use to. Other then the looks it should make a great club boat.
  2. Charity Polar Bear Ski last Saturday. Air 35F Water 39F BI -43
  3. I'm not a fan of the PP gauge replacing the tach. I like to look at an analog tach also and they don't match the other gauges to well. I went with having both. Left the tack gauge on the dash board, (maybe a little OCD about the symmetry and mounted an external display down by the drivers cup holder.
  4. Not really quality issue other than having the phone upside down. Any clue on how to flip them, getting tired of trying to watch while on tbe inversion table.
  5. @Wish I believe it a was 1966, out board with a 70 horse Merc.

  7. @lpskier , We're at Sunset Lakes for the week, with mid afternoon off. We are trying to set up a tour of the Nautique plant and now another stop hopefully. What are the hours of operation.

  9. Like us. I'm sure many other ballers are making the trip down to central Florida. We are down the 9-16 and would love to hook up with other ballers. We are also planning to go to the Friday social st the Hall of Fame.
  10. My wife and I are in town that week and planning on going to the social Friday. Not sure about the golf outing at this time, but will ship a few clubs with my ski.
  11. @TustinTom Glad you liked th he lessons from Brooks. Need to you into Ship Sticks, I had good luck with FedEx shipping my sport tube.
  12. Had both of my exhaust manifolds welded, not a big problem. Just find someone in your area that does aluminum welding. Have the casting plugs ground down and welded over. I bought some new plugs from Indamar, about $1.50 each, welder I used didn't need them.
  13. @dbski Rick all I can say is OMG. The ski that Carole and you designed is unbelievable. Hope to see you and Tom next year.
  14. @Horton If the Austin stop happens can it be around the time of F1 race there.

    Boat cover

Only mildew I have ever had was on the outside of the cover, Sunbrella. Take a look at http://skiboatcovers.com/index.php?route=common/home>. I've had 3 covers from them and all last at least 8 years with beings outside 6 months out of the year before some of the stitching came undone.
  17. @MISkier Second year on the Eagle and loving it. The fit is great, not a lot of extra material.. Getting the suit over your head is a little difficult with the front zip, but you can zip it up or down by yourself. I looked at Silver Spray's site and didn't see anything, would have been the perfect day to hit both.
  18. Went out yesterday with a baller index of -46.67. Water 38 Air 34. Best I've done is ski 11 months out of the year a couple of times, missed January.
  19. @bobbulfer I have a pair of Amigo's that are collecting dust.for the past 10 years. Both of my girls rode them for a year each. Just need to make sure the bindings are good.
