I saw some video with Terry Winter riding the Neo.

Anyone have a recommendation for vests that are smoother and less abrasive on upper arms? Elbows pinned to vest always scrapes up my arms in about any style I’ve tried. I’ve gotten so I wear a Lycra or neo rash guard that solves the problem and gives some UV protection, but sometimes would like to skip the extra layer. (My fav Shortline vests are my go to, but of course scratchy

Installed FAE on buddy’s ‘04 RLXi monsoon 340. No noticeable difference in ski wake other than if spinning short line at end of lake. Exhaust when pushed more sideways through water in a tight turn throws a lot of water at your lower legs 32’ and 35’ off. We’ve learned not to stand ‘there’. Would do it again in a minute to be an early morning good neighbor. Wedge does not fit with his installation. Never used it, so no loss. Exact boat also lives on lake with stock exhaust. FAE is Easily 1/4 volume when outside of boat hearing boat drive away. Less difference when compared from inside the boat harder to say qty of sound. We remove the back seat when skiing and never sit in back. A ‘02 RLX barefooter on the lake has the 383 hammerhead with turned down tips. I’d say a 30% noise reduction from outside rear of boat. Not scientific, but I’m around these boats a lot.

It’s a bit of a beast. I have a rack between rafters of my garage. I usually end up taking it down and putting it on by myself…. But pretty sure directions would say something like “don’t try this by yourself.” My SUV or minivan will not fit in my garage with it on. That plus wind noise and decreased fuel economy are grounds for removal even if I put it on every 3-6 weeks in the summer. If I was only carrying a ski, and left a box on all the time, I’d get a small skinny ski box. If I didn’t have to leave a car parked where theft was a issue, I’d bungee my ski in bag right to the top rack.

We have the previous generation Yakima 21 (now called the Skybox 21) that we’ve used on a couple of vehicles. Both with OEM roof rack and removable Yak roof rack. Skybox Dimensions (exterior) L 92.00 in x W 36.00 in x H 18.00 in. My theory is that when you need extra space, go big. Fuel economy takes a few mpg hit at 70mph, But 99% of time it’s not on top.

It may be that you have just a binding problem. call a pro shop like Perfski.com , tell them the brand ski you have and your need for sz 13, they could set you up. Many used skis will be sold blank w/o bindings, so you will probably be shopping for bindings even if picking up a used ski.

? Dave. Waterskiing can seem like the center of the world when we are in it. I bet the number of people in this country who waterski/BF is a good bit less than 1%. Definition: do it = even defined as minimally active participation at lowest level such as 1x per year getting up on skis. Not tubing. Not wakeboarding. Not wake surfing.

@BraceMaker The coal reserves in the U.S. are much deeper than your 150 yr number. Yes it is a finite resource, but it’s a much longer ramp to get to alternatives. Especially in ND. Strip-mined coal is burned nearby and converted to E. Or transported by rail. The prairie is returned to use in a highly regulated reclamation process. North Dakota (my home state) has the second-largest known reserves of lignite in the world (behind only Australia) with an estimated 25 billion tons of recoverable resources. It’s estimated that the state’s reserves will last more than 835 years at the current rate of consumption.

I’ve skied the course on Kohlman. I was a guest for a morning. Short setup and a windy day. I think there are some early a.m. regulars on Lotus in Eden Prairie. No contacts for you.

I actually have waterskied behind our catamaran. Wind powered ski days by necessity are a little choppy though. .

Some of the stuff I’ve tried has required too great a time commitment. Example: Trailer dirt bike to venue 2-3 hrs away. Ride for 2 hrs. Return. A whole day is gone. I couldn’t justify time away from my family @ any decent frequency. If I could ride from my back door, I’d do it. Skiing is nearby and can happen early. Nearly always done by 7:30 or 8:00 a.m.

Shoe Goo. I like carb cleaner for making sure surfaces are clean to get a good bond (helpful for any type of glue)

So you’re looking for a slalom ski that was considered high end 30 yrs ago? Because it is lower performing than a ski you can buy today? Hmmm. In a hundred people that will look at this post, two dozen have a shed full of skis just like that. Not getting rid of them because they hold some nostalgic memory, but they are no longer skied because the last 8 skis purchased are WAY better. But IDK, maybe they are for sale. HO Mach 1? Kidder Redline? EP Stiletto? KD 7000? Name your three favorite brands, model, and size. Indicate the Price you’d like to pay and buy 3-4 options of old skis to demo, and give it a go.
