  1. @Horton Your bindings only move 3/8" ??? Wow! Your Strada binding plate must be a lot different than mine. You might want to think about a Sequence plate that give 1/16"......J/K I'm thinking about going with a Reflex this year and I was concerned about the binder sliding on the ski. This product appears to be a great fix to this issue.
  2. Both the NFL and MLB have both modified their rules over the years to make the game more appealing for spectators. Why can't our sport? It makes much more sense to the casual tournament attendee to watch someone go around six balls than have to explain that a skier missed the gates. Do away with gates......
  3. I like it. Does the PlatiDip prevent a slotted plate from moving on a ski? Same setup at the white Quest above.
  4. @bojans I read a past post from Seth that he could not tell much of a difference, maybe he can chime in. I'm in the same situation as you and plan on switching from a double Strada setup to a Reflex / RTP. From a durability standpoint, I'm leaning towards the g-10. What I noticed is the plates have slots instead of holes that are used to attach the plate to the ski. How do they keep the attached plate from accidentally moving around on the ski? Tighten the hell out of the screws????
  5. I like some of the features of the boat (seadek instead of carpet); however, the porpoise nose looks like butt.
  6. Very nice! I like the innovation. I seem to have issues with this website though and can't enlarge the photos. I tried using 3 different browsers. ????? Any suggestions? I can enlarge photos on my Ipad. Go figure
  7. I bought a 200 promo from a dealer with a whopping 60 hours. IMHO, if you are looking at getting a new boat, buying a promo will get you into a boat that has been dialed in and save some serious cash.
  8. I've had both and have never had an issue. I loaned out a pair to a guy that was having difficulty getting out of the water. After he came back from skiing a set he thought it felt like cheating. The only complaint that I have heard is that some of the short line skiers having issues re-gripping back on the handle.
  9. I also would like to see what the difference is cinching up the front boot tight, something that is a big no-no with the Stradas. Don't get me wrong, I think the Stradas are the most comfy boots I've ever tried.
  10. Right now I have the laces as loose as possible on the rear boot and I'm still having issues. My last setup using a single boot was a Venom, so going to a Reflex should be a big step up in performance.
  11. My question to you guys is, what is the difference and or possible advantages between the two different binding setups? I'm sure I'll get a lot of "personal preference" answers, but the has to be some difference that has made you go with one setup over the other. As a side note, it appears that I see more skiers going back to single boot. ?? The reason that I ask is currently I'm on double Stadas ( going back as far as when they were RS1s) and I'm thinking about going to a Reflex / RTP. My back foot is cramping up for some reason after a few passes and I think I could get more forward easier with a single boot. Thanks
  12. I have one taking up space in my shed..... next to the OB Rumor Pro with the flex bars.
  13. @aswinter05, switching over to a Stoltz PU cut down on some of the scuffs. I noticed your roller is black in the same spot that they installed mine during the retro-fit. The keel on my boat doesn't sit on the roller, but I have scuff marks on the cross bar from the keel making contact with the trailer. I'm thinking that this was a poorly laid out design. Before the retro-fit when there was only 4 bunks on the trailer it looked like the trailer wasn't made for the boat. Would putting another roller on the other side of the cross bar help in my situation? @BraceMaker the pics above give a a pretty good idea of what I have, but the cross bar trailer doesn't come down in a "v" but is slightly bowed.
  14. This is a similar issue that I'm having with my 200 on a Phoenix. The roller is on the rear (stern) side of the trailer near the front two bunks. You will note that the keel has scraped some of the white paint off. My trailer was also modified by Phoenix, they changed the trailer from 4 long bunks to 4 smaller bunks near the front and two more at the rear. They also welded on the bow roller that you see in the pic (they gave me the black one that was leaving marks so I swapped it out to a Stoltz). Would adding another keel roller on the other side be a solution?
  15. @ed_johnson & @gregy ok, you guys have me sold. I'm going to drop a call out to cali and get a new Camaro vest and shorty...I hate, hate being cold. I was going to wait for the blacktec to become available; however, full suits are generally long for me for a good fit anyway. I'll take your advice. Too bad @Horton is trying to jump on your bandwagon. Thanks
  16. @h2odawg79 So would it be more beneficial for a 190 - 200 lb skier like me still working on 15 off to either kick the boat speed up to 32 or utilize a traditional shaped ski? My current ski is a 67" Strada 55 (Sen c), I was thinking about going with a 68 in a traditional (S2, Quest, ...). I'll be down at Bennett's in June so I might try a new ski.
  17. I think I just set some kind of record! Good thing I didn't mention that I used to get an unsolicited subscription of PDB magazine (pontoon deck boat).
  18. I skied at JEPAWHIT in Gaines for a few seasons, a Big Dog qualifier is held there quite often. World class conditions, pulled by a current year SN 200. Is there still a ski club on Belleville lake? Their website is down, maybe I'll try to dig up some numbers. I'm looking for a place to put some hours on my boat.
  19. I found one of their posts rather insightful. If I'm ever in the market for new vests for my mother-in-laws 40 hp pontoon, I now know what to get. What would offer a better wake for the course, a pontoon or a tri-toon with the slide off the back?
  20. Thanks @gregy I might give the Camaro a look. They can put an extra 7mm of float in the back of the Eagle; however, I think I might need more float than that.
  21. I need a vest that will give me more float than my Eagle. I like the Eagle (very flexable & great range of motion) on a private lake, but when I'm out on a public lake it can get a rough keeping my head above water. Some of the CGA approved vests seem a bit bulky. Anyone try the Ronix Capella?
  22. @Horton I need a new vest. How flexible is the Impact & does it float better than an Eagle? As for the suit, for $300 I need a suit that lasts more than than a couple of seasons that isn't delicate as tissue. Performance wise, the suit was phenomenal......just don't expect it to last.
  23. I had a Aquasphere .5 that appears to use the same tech of the Camaro that I saw in Fla. The POS Aquasphere lasted less than two seasons. I'm very hesitant to drop more cash on the more expensive Comaro and get the same results. I am in the market for a new vest when I'm on a public lake. I need a lot more floatation than my Eagle provides.
  24. @MJE k, thanks bro. I think I'm going to go with the new one. I got some new Stradas on clearance for $120 each but they only came with the split plate.
