  1. Having skied with these guys a fair amount and regularly with Adam Caldwell, the information and access is worth the whole ski price (even if you didn't get a ski). It's a different way of thinking about skiing. It can be as technical as you would ever want it to be or as simple as you like. These guys are fully invested in the science of the product and the science of the sport. Great guys, great products.
  2. I spoke to someone a couple of weeks ago who has skied with Dr. Jim since "the situation". This person said he still skis and even makes fun of the what happened. It was a little awkward they said. I guess Dr Jim would be a good person to comment on the whole, whether to ski tournaments or not.
  3. How about a sight tube that can be reasonably accessible?
  4. Mastercraft does seem to be gas gauge challenged.
  5. I got humbled today and I've been through a course thousands of times
  6. Thanks @Andre! Anytime I can watch skiing when I'm at work, it's a good thing.
  7. Lots of good discussions on here, look around and be prepared to be overwhelmed.
  8. Have heard/seen that before but I love Masterline products. If you waited 4 years, 1 month shouldn't be a problem (sorry, couldn't help it). I just get a new rope and handle each year from them and they'd probably last at least 2 years or more. Great products. The high end rope can be used right out of the bag and you'll barely feel any stretch.
  9. Our water gets to 95+ in the middle of the summer, when we ski a lot you either might want tape or liners and I hated wearing liners. I went to a fatter handle to disperse the wear on my hands. I prefer a 1.125" which feels a little big until it gets some wear on it. I don't have big hands (wear extra small gloves in most brands). I'm with @greghayes, less blistering. My current brand new handle is a 1.09" as my 1 year old 1.125 handle needs restringing. Smaller handles make my hands hurt more.
  10. Looks like a very solid 3.5...by they old rules, I'm guessing a 3.95
  11. Reading a couple of these, I'm reminded of an instance in probably my 3rd tournament ever and first at our lake. This guy I knew from skiing with him some in public water was probably a deep 32 off skier, starts at 22, runs his first pass, his second pass, his third pass, his fourth pass and his fifth pass, I thinking "Wow! Kenny just ran 38 off and it looked just like his opener"...they never shortened, he ran 22 off five times before anybody caught on. Don't ask me how that happened.
  12. I've done it before, at the end of a long day in the boat sheet happens.
  13. Looks like the Trophy Room is full....I guess those don't come with the house.
  14. Since you're asking the question here...Deep Water Start, Rear Toe Kicker, Fruit Loop, Stack, Hard Shell Boot, Carbon Fiber Tool, Micrometer, Connected, Out The Front....so much to work with on this site
  15. Very interesting from a skiing perspective but also from a non skiing perspective. Great podcast @Luzz and @MarcusBrown.

    Ilmor vs Indmar

We currently have the 6.2 and it is easily the most powerful ski boat I have ever driven or skied behind.
  17. @John Brooks may know
  18. I don't think you can swing a cat by the tail and not hit a lake in Central Florida.

    Choices

Looks like mowing the grass isn't a choice.
