  2. I don't know anyone involved but it is interesting how PC our world has become. Roger posted this information as a service to us all and did it with the best of intentions. He was merely sharing his opinion as to how the boats drove at a tournament. I enjoyed reading the posting and do not have access to all of these boats. It was good information. I thought he was careful not to attack anyone or any particular boat. His reward for taking the time to write the post and evaluate the boats is someone getting upset or their feelings hurt. It is a boat. It is his opinion. You can agree to disagree. You can have different preferences in how much load you like in the steering. I bet this is why the boat tests/ski tests are such a joke now. This is just my opinion. I don't intend to make anyone angry. If I do, I am sorry you are so sensitive.

Horton, who does the R&D and where?
  4. Nice. He can savor them. I was just wondering because I usually can't wait to get out of the drysuit and into the Guru top. RD is probably in much better shape than I am in. I like to shed the extra drag/weight.
  5. RD, maybe I missed a previous post, why do you want to stay in the drysuit and what does it have to do with shortline?
  6. I skied most of the winter in a dry suit but switched to a long sleeve wetsuit in February. I try to ski once a week at least but this week has not been very nice.
  7. OF, I'm jealous. I live here and never get to ski with Terry. I have skied with his brother Mike on occasion and he is also an excellent coach. This has been the coldest week in the last month but probably feels warm coming from Washington.
  8. I just called Obrien and the Prodigy won't be out until May 1st.
  9. Is this for your tricked out golf cart?
  10. Does anyone know if the Prodigy is out yet and how they compare to Strada?
  11. Great skiing! Dawg does not use a seven foot handle, that's a west coast thing.
  12. That photo makes me have the urge to rip that tag off his hat...don't know why.
  13. I'd like to compare them but I don't have the ShaneH/ScottJones money.
  14. I like that the guy was able to make Horton mad but I do enjoy reading about all of the skis. It is not his fault one company submits more info than another. Gallagher is welcome at my house also (as long as she leaves the bugs at work). Horton you may stay in the barn or goat pen, whichever you prefer.
  15. That was a great interview. Thanks. It seems like HO (a few years back), now Radar does a great job marketing their product as the new have to have product each year. Each year many skiers dump last years product and buy the newer latest greatest version. Some are a huge success for years and others are one year wonders. It may be attributable to the constant R&D being done and excellent marketing.
  16. This discussion reminds me of the dentist's wife in the movie Hangover. Everyone has had a buddy with a wife or girlfriend that acted like that character in the movie. Most are smart enough to move on but some just do whatever they are told.
  17. Horton, what is with the walrus? I liked the evil looking cartoon depiction of you better.
  18. I agree with letting Seth set you up and the comments about trying a few different skis. Sometimes when you go to a ski school and try skis, especially early in the year, you are not in ski shape yet. It is hard to tell if it is the ski or your lack of strength and practice. I recommend trying skis after you are in shape and on your own ski site with the same driver in similar conditions. They have a great demo program. You just pay to ship skis back and forth until you find the right one. I am sure many have had the experience where they love the new ski the first two weeks and then end up with performances decreasing until they can't make their opener or even a deep water start. Good luck.
  19. That's too bad but not a bad place to have to travel for business. Maybe next time.
  20. MADD11, did you get to ski in Australia or was it too much hassle? The sites are pretty far away.
  21. Not to be confused with non amazon
  22. I have a 1988 67" Connelly Concept with XL Double HO high wraps on it. Black with teal green and yes, pink trim. Great 34 mph ski for the XL "amazon wife." Any takers? Pristine condition. Connelly ski bag included. I promise not to tell the wife about the amazon marketing.
  23. Great video. Thanks for the info.
