Block, after you ride it a couple more times try .798, 2.514, 6.855 and 30" ft binding. This setting feels best to me. Very stable and forgiving but still easy to get wide.
I was sad when I first heard the news but realized we should celebrate his life. He was a great man and I have nothing but good memories of him. He was always smiling and willing to lend a hand. He could fix anything. He will be missed.
Eric, these skis were painstakingly designed and built by JTH (when he was supposed to be studying) and looked great, right up until they exploded into a million pieces. I almost felt sorry for him except it was JTH.
Jimbrake, I do, unless it was loud and annoyed you. If it did, it must have been someone else, probably CALSTaR.  skidawg is correct and notice I said a jumper designed and built them. Horton send skidawg his t-shirt. He is waiting.
Interesting topic. I remember when a certain jumper built a pair of skis that had an (asymmetrical) airfoil shape on top to create lift. Great idea after watching Sammy Duvall (I know, the kids are saying who is that) cross his skis. The problem was that he built them out of balsa wood. They worked great right up until he hit the wakes. The skis flexed and the balsa exploded. I wish I had video. It was hilarious. Great idea, wrong material.  Can anyone guess who the engineer was? Horton will give the first person to get it right a free BOS t-shirt.  ÂÂ
Did Dave Goode fly in to Diablo on a private jet? That is hard to believe. Someone told me that and I told them that you can't get "Jet Money" from selling water skis. I could be wrong. Does anyone know?
I moved the front binding back one D3 hole. My rear foot toe is hitting the back of my front binding. Very annoying. I can't move the rear back further, no more metal. The ski felt faster/more free on pullout for the gates/glide. It was faster or less effort accross the wakes. The off side turn felt like it occassionally caught or stopped for a second at the end of the turn. This was the opposite of what I expected. It felt better as the line got shorter. I am not sure yet. I will take a couple more rides tomorrow.
scoke, use your own format. Horton has his own in his head but we don't want to know what goes on in there. It has to be frightening. Horton, where is my BOS sticker for the helicopter? Don't make me get a skifly sticker.
SJ, were those numbers you posted for a 68.5? I have been thinking of moving the bindings back one hole but will have to drill my D3 plates to do it. I am at 30" now.
I am one of the lucky skiers that AWSA has not forgotten. I still have an old perfect pass with a switch. I can put in an awful setting of ++ 40 and make zero off work. I guess the question is why do we have to set our PP at the worst settings to get a similar ride. Don't worry Obama will save us, just like health care and the economy. He will step in and make PP supreme.
None taken Horton. You go to bed. It is past 2300 (11:00PM) I will stay awake and keep you safe from the boogey man. For the record my knees don't even bend that far.
Horton, did you try the fin a little deeper like skidawg recommended? It feels better. Don't be stubborn, just do as you are told. It should be easy now that you are married.
