  1. @BS74 take it back, use a key and your thumb against the bevel to measure on the spot any replacement ski... over 1/16” should be visible with naked eye anyway. Is this an all carbon finish ski, visible carbon, no vinyl or painted ski?
  2. Phillipos Kyprios in the final!!!
  3. Had my first set today behind the new ski Nautique. Don’t know what the wake is at -22 but I took 2x-28 and 4x-32 passes and the boat pull was awesome. Wake was non existent at those line lengths, was even flatter than the 200... My knees would love this boat. Now I really really want to also ski Behind the new Prostar!
  4. @vtmecheng i totally agree with you, I wouldn’t put any lubricant on a rope. And I really want to see a picture of the rope in question...
  5. @Andre as far as I know... Malibu has the patent. @vtmecheng the reason of using silicone grease or spray instead of Vaseline, it’s because it is not petroleum based. So if you are right and not 100% sure one should use the silicone spray/grease used in the diving industry. Totally not petroleum based...
  6. Another thing you can do is to remove 38 or 39off section and put it back on the end loop of the 15 off. If your pylon is toasted... find some good 50cm sections from other ropes to use as a switch and take out 50cm from your main line. Periodically just change the switch ropes. Doing this will prevent wear in all line length loops...
  7. @LOTW ok... best thing is to buy a new rope... but if you really thing the rope is good and it’s just the red section, you can either ask a friend who is not using it, i for example remove red and orange from new and donate them to ski schools, or if it’s not that bad yet... you can turn it around and use the other side loop. Or maybe you need a new boat as @ScottScott suggested! ??
  8. @LeonL I use them for over five years now, had no issue with most but in some gloves the stitching had failed early and had to sew them before they got shot. If you don’t do that, they won’t last. Same thing with friend’s 41 tails. Generally I don’t wear out gloves or handles either.
  9. Best gloves for my liking. Soft, precurved, great grip, comfortable, no ripped calluses whatsoever. They last twice as long as my previous gloves and usually a pair lasts for about a year. I ski about 140 sets, -28 to-35.
  10. Or you can ski as is, focus on skiing and forget about adjustments at this point...
  11. Parenting at its best.... was trying to find how this could be related to skiing.... boy is fearless... could make a good ski jumper!
  12. A wider tail ski will lessen your struggle and make getting up much easier. I would look into HO Omnis, basic one is not expensive and if you do... go for a 69”
  13. Why inadvertently, can’t you go back to previous position? If it doesn’t feel right, probably isn’t. Some skis, you move a hole (about 1/4”) and you barely notice the difference and on others 1/8” or less is noticeable and 1/8” could be the distance from ok to great or the opposite. I use a mikrojust for that matter and I suggest everyone Who’s serious about course skiing, should use a type of microadjusting system. So a quarter could be nothing but could also be disastrous.
  14. @Stevie Boy while I agree with Horton, if you remove your fin block, tighten it a bit and run this tap through the adjusting threads, you will be able to tighten the fin without it being able to move and still have the adjusting screws in place... Size is 5/16 unf24. Have done this successfully on fin blocks used with a thinner than stock Denali fins...
  15. @Andre what the wake would be like at -22?????
  16. @TEL was referring to the Ford Mustang... not the Smart that I had to use for a while, you could say that I was traveling in style though... kind of...
  17. Come on... you can always fit the skis between the car seats, with the tails laying next to passenger’s feet. I used to drive 100km in a Smart with a passenger, 3 skis and all our gear for a whole year... Traveling in style is fun... you are not buying the car... Just don’t leave the skis in when parked ?
  18. emailing is the most common way of contact for people that buy online and stores that sell online. Especially if you are an ocean and half a continent away... calling is not always easy... Not saying this about MSN, I always had good experience dealing with them and my mails where always replied, when I had questions about backorders.
  19. This must be @chrislandy ‘s picture from the why I love the internet thread...
  20. @vtmecheng This is a 2021 PRO...
  21. @vtmecheng it’s alright using 2 screws only, you can only use the 3 screws with the HO plate only if you mount it straight. Also newer HO skis now have 2 inserts at the back not 3 like yours...
  22. I don’t like skiing early in the morning, so skiing in total calmness is rare. So I don’t kwow exactly in mph but I ski as long as I feel I won’t heart my self.
  23. In my case some 14 years ago, key was the absolutely no movement for a week. Doctor put my foot in a tight cast with some torque. After a week of total stillness, removed the cast and started swimming. Another week and with taped foot, started running some passes, like a couple and out... Fourth week and I was ok to continue my season, had to tape the ankle for the next 6 months. Never had any issue after that and totally forgot about it in about a year, never felt any pain after that. Good luck with your rehab.
