  1. I’m not pro reflex over other brands, but this is unfair. HO Quality many times better?they both use the same release and same type plate, both SS toe bars (different style) and just different skate shell. Unless any of the two makes a boot without steel buckles, that don’t rust, I don’t see why HO system is many times better over reflex or vise versa.obviously they don’t ski exactly the same, so I’d say that it mostly comes down to personal preference.
  2. @BKistler what happened to the insert that came out with the screw? On D3s and Radars, you can usually reuse the same insert, as long as the hole is intact and there’s no need to use new oversized ones. You can unscrew the sized screw from the insert, just be gentle not to damage the outside threads, before reinstalling, run a 8/32 tap if needed and do what @bojans says above.
  3. @skierjp we ski murky water and sometimes I like to take the boot off while still in the water. Have never lost one, but others have.
  4. It looks like the 8 screws that hold the frame to the plate have failed. It can’t happened just like that. The screws must have been loosened and the play made some to snap and the inserts to fail on the ones that didn’t snap.
  5. Boot floats…. This is also a big plus… you don’t want almost $400 at the bottom of the lake..
  6. @Rw3 rubber just inside the plastic horseshoe
  7. If you mainly ski open water and occasionally the course (assuming at slower speed) go for the 67”, bigger is better for open water and for slow speeds in the course.
  8. @lpskier dremel works very well. 26 sets in August, with no issue, I wear HO Legends S. My dremel goes to as low as 5000revs
  9. @OldboyII, Certainly not judging Wiley’s rubber, it’s of great quality, great feel, very durable and Wiley is also the source for some other rubber binding manufacturers. Just saying that the approach to changing rubber pieces is different on the Wiley’s, due to their different construction, bolts through rubber and frame, rather than using wood screws to piece together the frame and the plate.
  10. Every time I change an overlay or any part of a rubber boot, I remove the plate so to make the boot more pliable and also to visually check every screw that is in place and the correct length so it does not go through the plastic frame sticking its pointy end inside the boot. Every rubber boot except the Wiley’s… ?
  11. Don’t have a better picture, but have fixed this for a friend with a thread and a needle, beginning of season. Difficult to see that it is repaired, no issue so far…
  12. @12jam6 I would look at brands that mainly produce ropes and handles, like Masterline and in-tow and soon S-lines.
  13. You mean that the only available handle was yours? No other handle from fellow skiers, so to ski until you get a new one? Buy online and delivered to your door step, I guess is an option too… even overnight should be a lot cheaper than driving your track to the nearest dealer.

I guess now the question is, who is going to be next to run it in the dark…
  15. Also 67” D3 slalom and up have an extra set of inserts, for the size 12 reflex users…
  16. To ski or not to ski..? To ski…
  17. Green inside… matching fonts color
  18. @Stevie Boy reducing the wing angle raises the tip and vice versa. To compensate for that move, you have to add some leading edge. Better add some length so to keep everything else constant. Maybe something like 2-3 thousand…
  19. Wow this is eye opener… this video is an excellent tool for skiers. By the way, in full speed would have looked great!
  20. How come and a tube pressed against the fin acts as fin protector beats me. Also putting a wet ski inside the neoprene keeps the moisture in, which works the fin and fin box until the next use… I would use a finfirkin fin protector inside any non neoprene ski bag or ski sock and if the ski bag is padded I would leave it open at all times but when carrying it to the lake.
  21. @Andre I'm on the Xtr cc, third season, I was on the XT before that and was on the Wideride in 2009
