  1. I bought some ropes too, waiting for the handles to be available and then buy some too.
  2. @dave2ball oh I’m truly sorry, didn’t mean to be offensive or aggressive towards you. It’s the language barrier, for me it’s twice as hard to express my self in English. So really didn’t mean it that way. Just wanted to point out something that I have knowledge about, just that.
  3. @dave2ball you need to own a second gen Goode slot caliper in order for these numbers to have any use for you. I own both but @aupatking wants a one time conversion and don’t want to buy a slot caliper, which is understandable. I measure and put numbers on more than 50 skis a year and during ski season I use my calipers at least few times a week, so I have more than a few calipers laying around. Funny thing I don’t play with my fin settings much, mostly when ski is new.
  4. I would be careful with those numbers… these sheets are referred to the first gen slot caliper. Length numbers are not the same as with the current one. Both dial and slot numbers are measured with jaws.If you see the current online sheets for those ski models, numbers are different and thay are not exact conversions of the dial, or first gen slot caliper… go figure…
  5. @dchristman no need to invest in developing a new shell specifically for skiing. You have invented the shelless binding… :D
  6. Please don’t use rubbing alcohol, it will stain the surface. For the adhesive, use adhesive remover or white spirit. Car scratch remover, or finishing compound will also remove the adhesive residues and the marker, but be gentle if you don’t want an extra shining finish on the specific spot.
  7. 8-32 brass wood inserts, or go to D3 site and buy a set of the exact same as yours. They also sell oversized, But I bet the standards would be ok. Not easy to damage and stress the holes on a d3.

  9. Just leave a little piece of rubber like on the orange side. I’m thinking as you cutoff the rest, leave some 2” of the end rubber and pull up and inside the top part.If you know how to undo and restring… then you can do anything you like, even making it look like the custom if you can find the rubber parts, end cups etc from an old one.
  10. Or drill 2 holes directly on the heel rubber
  11. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Ci7q3tBjVf2/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=It sure releases in an OTF…
  12. @hemlock tension to the spring comes from the tension screw only. So if you feel that you need to protect the spring… you only have to back out the screw. But I wouldn’t worry about it much, the elements in the waterski environment, will drive you to change the spring or the release long before the load would damage it. I like to take my shell off anyway when I don’t use the ski. Dries faster and it’s easier to rinse it, we ski in salt water more than 50% of our sets, so rinsing well and wipe the ski and metal parts is important for longevity.
  13. Don’t want to be a smart ass but the streaming quality was really bad, I guess internet speed was very low and there were frames missing while watching. The buoy looks slightly visible behind the skier. Yea don’t want to call this by these photos and the webcasting.
  14. @Andre watching tricks now, not easy to be focused and the music doesn’t help either.
  15. @chris55 the base that the are using for the the shell to sit in, makes them sit flat on the plate.
  16. @dchristman yes and yes, totally agree, hence the laugh…!
  17. @dchristman you can use 2 mikrojusts, one at front part and one at the rear… ??
  18. I believe it is time to make a boot ski specific and stop using cheep inline skate shells. Reflex is the leader and by licensing their release, most of hardshell market is theirs or related to them. It’s costly I know, it’s what Radar did and their boot is a big step forward. I would welcome a flat bottom shell with low and soft cuff like radar’s. That boot would sell to almost all reflex customers.
  19. I would prefer to see a bottomless boot on a plate…
  20. @slow thank you! Was a simple question and a simple answer, about the new radar vapor boot, how come and someone gave you an off topic, don’t get it really…
  21. @Than_Bogan if s turning scores as 1/2, then trying to make it to the next buoy to score a full buoy might result in a bad fall like Caldwell’s or Freddie’s and although it’s a big rush for us the spectators, it could result in an injury and hinder the longevity of the athletes.
  22. Is there a difference between the front and the rear boot besides the plate?
  23. @Than_Bogan more yard sales and potential accidents too. But man, maybe this is how to elevate watching interest.Only 2 or three skiers turning 3 and another 4-5 s-turn it doesn’t elevate the rush of watching. On the other hand skiers health is also a priority… don’t know…
