  1. @markn I hope it will will get warmer soon. What do you expect the temp to be in a month or so from now?
  2. @MISkier thanks for this, I had forgotten that Thomas was the name of the father… watched the animation… really good!!
  3. Could be the case or make the ski taking a narrower line and ski buoy to buoy and gives you a faster feeling and end up turning more down corse.. there is definitely an optimal fin setup You have to find what works for you… want to say that it is not that simple, like moving fin forward is the solution for all..
  4. Wow, that was spam? I couldn’t understand what it was about and the relevance and I thought it was just me not getting it.
  5. @lpskier I was told about that, not sure and you probably know better. I like it that I know now that Wade Cox was the first to run 39. Very big fun of Wade and I really liked his ski style and him as a person.
  6. Ahaha… one dr. Michaels… record went back to Ben Favrett which at the time was 4@39… joking really on my previous post… 😂 also Jeff Rodgers holds a record that can’t be broken, he is the first to run 39 and 41@36 and the first to run 41@34
  7. Well… for a period it was 3@43 but some 15 years or more ago… the record was taken back from that hard working skier who also wanted to brake the 36 record at that time…
  8. It works! just log yesterday’s set! thanks @OSSKI
  9. @Colin Jackson I recorded my sets the day before yesterday and yesterday I couldn’t. I checked again today and it doesn’t load. Im starting to worry now that I’m not the only one having this issue. Swervetracker is the only app I use for logging my sets from the day it came out, so easy and satisfying to use. I was kind of worried that this could happen one day and lose all my data, but I really hope that this is just a hiccup and it will work again. @OSSKI we love your app, please keep it up and running. thanks again
  10. When you take a picture of your garage for the storage ideas thread and realize that you have quite a collection. 81 skis including a special skis collection, a wooden reflex and some broken ski to be used in Adirondack chair project.
  11. @101driver sorry for that, wasn’t thinking of the off season as totally off the water. We still ski here, not so much, depending on the weather. Have had 2 sets already beginning of the month and I’m set for some more this week as the weather is getting better and air temp goes from below 40 to mid 60s. skiing like 4-5 sets a month is not much, but it’s something and stil have February ahead of us, which usually is the coldest… from there after is uphill.
  12. I just checked my stats, in 2023 I run 7 -35 which was an 11.8% of tries and an average of 3.8 buoys. So for 2024, I will need to shorten more and push myself a little harder. also work more on my technique and ski a little more than before. For startings, I have planned a 2 week skiing trip to Florida end of February. I can’t wait for this, first time after about 15 years. I hope it will work out for me and have a great year.
  13. You guys, you focus on reducing the probability of injury off the water. What about the probability of injury while skiing? Off water preparation (very important), but what about skills or the lack of it, or split second bold decisions that don’t work out? I don’t find getting injured often to be acceptable. I’m trying to avoid big crashes,or at least to reduce them as much as I can. luck plays some role here too… I’m on a releasable system and my percentage of releases is less than once a year and still know that an injury can happen at any time, while skiing. so my plan for 2024, is the same as before, Ski safely. Push my limits on a feel good day, ski more back to back passes on bad days, or bad setups, or when tiered. knock on wood for more injure free years, cause it can happen.
  14. Yes you’re right… I mostly wrote this because of the section saying that the rope should go through the handle and there is at least one handle the uses plastic (or carbon lately) attachments to the side of the handle and the rope goes through the attachments and not through the handle. This is a tournament handle, does it mean that you can not use one anymore in tournaments. I don’t use this type, but I know few that are using it and one that stoped using it when it destroyed his ski… 😊
  15. Rule 5.09 there shall be no sharp edges or protection, does this affect handles with plastic protection? also rope should pass through the handle, so handles that the rope is attached to plastic end caps can not be used anymore in tournaments? I know at least of one of this type of handle. @Horton @Broussard?
  16. I was going to say that top speed looks like a little late and closer to the buoy than expected, but then saw the shorter line data and looked more where top speed should be at…
  17. @DW read your post and went to my workshop to check 2 D3s broken from transport, one at the middle and one at back just in front of the fin slot. Didn’t see any white ribbons, looking at the gap of the broken at about the middle ski. The other one, broken just in front of the fin slot, I see some white at the gap, at bevels, could be something like white ribbons, but definitely doesn’t seem it did any difference at the brake. It’s a clean brake…
  18. Knew it immediately that I hadn’t gotten the joke… 🤗
  19. Skied today, last set of the year, calm sunny day, not too cold, much better than earlier this month. 65 air, 55 water, around noon. Sea water… takes longer to drop in temperature. Hope the weather will hold and ski some more next Thursday for few days in a row. happy new year Guys, with lots of skiing and PBs !!!
  20. @Horton I had a blue and a yellow Fischer when they came out. Really good skis, super solid quality. Schnitz was part of the development and had come to Greece a few times back then and to also promote them. secret was that it had come out and progressed from the9100. I have a like new condition yellow prototype in my collection. No windows at the tip and at least twice the amount of inserts or more, than normal…. Some friends moved to razor and loved that ski at the time. don’t see any around anymore… it’s been 15 years since the first came out…
  21. @lpskier wrapped is made be SP for Jodi Fisher. Razor is the mold of Fisher kind of next gen… San rival was also out of the same mold, but at double the price. I think Razor is still sold by Hotwater in Austria. I think @Horton’s suggestion of a 2024 Radar vapor is excellent, or a used 2022-23 if new is out of the question.
