  1. I'd like to see more shots like it.
  2. I can't see what you posted up on my iPad, but I came in expecting is. http://www.dailyyucky.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/bar-refaeli-bikini.jpg
  3. I've only skimmed the thread - and I wasn't at the tournament... but I feel my time at work would be too productive if I didn't respond to such an active discussion :). "Sometimes the Superbowl is played in a dome and sometimes its played outside in sub-zero temps with ice and snow" "Not Really, think of all the places the superbowl has been lately. Nice Weather or domes the only reason they are going to N.Y in two years is because they spent over a Billion dollars on a new stadium." You know what he meant... perhaps golf is a better example some players get out early when it is not windy, some players get rained on, some players have to play with Tiger Woods (huge galleries, more TV time, pressure)... Unfortunately that is how it is and there isn't much that can be done about it.
  4. haha Dave... weather has been unreal good this year. Unfortunately rather than living at the lake and being on the water 4-5 days a week I took a job at the university in town.. So aside from a couple weeks where I took some weekdays I've only been able to ski on weekends. Last day of work is tomorrow though... so moving back up until september. Then if I get a decent fall (like last year) I should be able to ski weekends until mid October.
  5. That seems like a lot for a boat that old. Especially considering you'll need to add your own speed control and other goodies (but at least speed control which is pricey). A Malibu Response LX or Closed Bow from the same era as that 196 would be another very nice boat to look for.
  6. Software Engineer?? Sorry Than. :) I love legacy software... why? because it works!
  7. Both the MPD and the Annex are great skis. I'm on an MPD still and I really like it - which is why I am on it still. I disagree that it is an unforgiving ski - personally I feel it is quite easy to ski. I also ski a public lake - though I try to get out at times with as little traffic as possible. I really doubt the annex is going to help you deal with rollers from other boats - if that is what you are worried about.
  8. It would probably be worth a case of Fat Tire!
  9. If you have trouble making the change just wait until the start of next season. Visualizing releasing the handle and skiing back to it with the proper grip will help. And yeah do it you will be more balanced.
  10. I went with the 41 Tails... they cost a fortune up here at 75 bucks though. I tried them on in the local shop along with the Radar Storms/Vice/Ergo and they were much more comfortable, that along with the good reviews here seem to imply a good glove for me. I do however have doubts that the Kevlar palm on the 41 Tails will provide as much grip as the gloves with aramid palms I am used to. Hopefully I am wrong. I thought Kevlar and aramid were the same but this is definitely a different material. For anyone that may be considering purchasing gloves online, the 41 Tails in a Medium fit me almost exactly the same as a Radar glove in large. The large radars ran a tad tighter in circumference(of hand and finger) but finger length was about the same.
  11. Maybe your just skiing better on some days than others? The boat obviously isn't changing and you seem to keep a close eye on variables(gas) so I'd say it is either in your head or your skiing.
  12. Thanks for the input guys. I wasn't really looking at the 41 tails because I am not a big fan of HO. It is unfortunate that the Prophecy's are prone to ripping though.
  13. i was wondering if anyone has been able to put prophecy gloves to the test? I am just looking for a straight forward glove that is built to last. I have a pair of ancient Connelly ice breaker gloves that have treated me well for when I start to break the 100 degrees rule - which is why I am looking at the prophecy glove and I think I am more likely to guess right on the size. Currently i am skiing with 3/4 finger obriens. Other gloves I am thinking about are the Ergo (but I am not sure if this is a plain glove as there is mention of bumps in the finger tips etc), the storms (which may not hold up for too long, although ideal otherwise) and the Strada (but it is a little pricey).
  14. My dad bought a boat new in 1975 and he just passed it down to my older brother a couple years ago. He was definitely attached to that thing and sometimes he makes comments about hoe it skied better than my response (he bought his ski at the same time... Could you imagine 30 years on the same ski? - although he now rides mine). I definitely get attached to things so I can see myself owning the boat I have now for a long time.
  15. Trent is my boy I am backing him and the other Canadians
  16. How about we meet in the middle? Run a 7 degree wing like I do, it barely feels like it is there. Unlike a thin condom.
  17. Tubeing pro tip. When you get knocked over upside down let go with one hand, you'll flip it right back over. (don't ban me).
  18. I have a Nikon D40X with an AF-S DX 18-200mm F3.5-5.5G ED VR2. I am no pro but it isn't fast enough.
  19. The stitching is coming out on my front RS1 boot. It is happening at the part that comes up to wrap around the calf. I was just going to find a shoe repair shop and see if they could restitch it but I thought I would ask for opinions here first. I want to be skiing on it next weekend :).
  20. I like how the article is simple and easy to follow. Sometimes I think we get a little too caught up in the technical aspect of the sport. Fin numbers etc.
  21. I am still on an MPD - as long as Radar is producing quality skis I'll always look to them first.
  22. I wouldn't even think twice. Vice.
  23. I laughed when I saw the call out of the old people. Common man.. 35 isn't old, I have a handful of friends around that age and the guys still know how to have a good time. Although the married ones are a little more low key. I'm 24.
