  1. Hand grips are good. Work the opposite direction and wrap your fingers in elastic bands and stretch them out. For the forearm muscles try this without weight you will use your opposing muscles as resistance. Supinate your arm(bend elbow and turn palm upwards) close your fist. Flex your arm and pull your fist towards your bicep. To work the back of the forearm pronate your hand(bend elbow and face palm to ground)flex your forearm andbend the wrist backwards.
  2. Appears as if you need to have M$ silverlight to watch though. Doesn't do much for me running linux. But I'll boot up my old vista box later on and check it out.
  3. Can you snap a pic of the strada? I haven't seen any shots that show off the finish well. And good luck with the sale
  4. I'd say definitely drain the engine. I've had a block freeze and crack on me at -5C which is warmer than what your expected low is. If you have a heater in the boat it might be a good idea to blow that out too - those can be damaged more easily than the engine Some things you can do to prevent freezing is stick a shop light in by the engine to keep the heat up on those nights where it is going to drop a little below freezing.ÂÂ
  5. Does O'Neill really stretch out that fast? I looked at Eagle earlier and I am not sure I can find them around here. Maybe I'll just need to buy a medium and suck in for the first few sets. There has to be a point where it stops stretching - or at least slows a lot. I am really looking for something that will last longer than a season. Perhaps a zip up would stretch less as it isn't expanding much when you take it off.
  6. Yeah I'd support it. My very first drinking experience was with Miller, so I have good feelings towards them anyway :)... If it is not Miller I am game to create some new memories with a new beer.
  7. I know a few of you ride O'Neill vests so I thought I would query you guys. I am looking to order Gooru but I've never had an Oneill vest before so I need some help. I have like a 42" chest based on a rough measurement... I fit a medium in my current vest but I've never had an Oneill.
  8. haha those are some nice wrecks OF and son
  9. I hope for the recovery of everyone involved to go well, both physical and emotional. It's really sad when something like this happens especially to a couple girls so young.
  10. Last weekend was my last on the water for the summer.
  11. Nice skiing guys, I'd play but my boat has been winterized and I have no course. I'll get in on it next year.
  12. Ok, I went with the size 9's. I haven't been able to try them on the ski yet but from sliding one on dry I can tell you that sizing up is definitely the way to go for a wider foot. I'd also like to note that they it fit really well length wise as well (going from an 8 wide), I don't expect to need to use an insole either. Just going off of the dry fit on this boot I think the 8's would have been too small. If I can get them on the ski before the year is up I'll let you know how they are wet.
  13. I don't ski any tournaments but the more hot chicks the better.
  14. Nice video review that looks like a sweet boat, I like the wood accents - but they might look better with a warmer coloured hull.
  15. Cool rawly, enjoy the ski. John is a great guy to do business with and anyone looking for a new ski should jump on this.
  16. Thought I'd let everyone know I picked up a boat and I found it because of this site. Thanks Marco and Ballofspray. I'll be skiing behind a 2001 Malibu Response LX this coming weekend. Unfortunately it will also be my last weekend at the lake for the year :(. http://homepage.usask.ca/~mcb394/DSC_0049.JPG
  17. definitely cool. Looks like a standard backflip you would do on a trampoline... not exactly sure what that is called in trick ski lingo... but i think it is a roll.
  18. Why wouldn't the 196 be a good tricking boat? Couldn't you just throw a little ballast in it and get a nice wake? I can see where the open bow of the Lxi would benefit a couple extra people but other than that it isn't much bigger, no?
  19. That is a horrible thing to see. Our public lakes have been going down for years hopefully everyone can make a quick recovery down there.
  20. I don't know the stuff D3 uses but if it is the colour of the tape that you don't like you should be able to find duct tape of various colours. I know when we used to move the boxing ring to various venues we used red, white and blue duct tape.
  21. Thanks Dave, I've always had a little trouble turning that way maybe the new ski/footwear will help me out a little or maybe I just need to turn at a tighter angle :). I've heard about keeping the handle lower also I'll keep that in mind when I get back on the water... I wonder if it pulling from closer to the water as it is at the back end of my boat is adding to the issues.
  22. Try copying and pasting the link tappskier.
