  1. I have both and Love them. Yes the Blacktec is a little thicker and warmer but the Titanium keeps me plenty warm down to 65 degree water which is where I switch. I have tried every brand you can think of and nothing offers flexibility like these. Longevity with the Titanium is only achieved if you handle it correctly. No fingernails, no drying it in the sun unless it is inside out, are perfect examples.
  2. Personally, I think that Tony does a GREAT JOB offering both measurements. After all it is a World Wide audience. It is also educational for those that haven't correlated the two. After all, if my Very Old feeble, alcohol soaked brain can understand it, anybody can !!!
  3. @MDB1056 .... What Lake are you on in Central Ark. ?? I use to ski a lot at Greers Ferry. Not sure if they still have a Slalom Course there ??
  4. @jipster43 .... ION S !!!
  5. @DW....Sounds like a Great Idea !!! Post some pictures if you have done that. I just set the jug up on the rear deck and use the shaker siphon hose, walk away, and its drained in just a few minutes....SO SIMPLE !!!
  6. I am lucky that I have an enclosed boat house with a Slalom Course just outside, so I never have to go to a gas station. Therefore I just use 6 gal race bottles and keep the 200 about 1/4 to 1/2 full max. Have always felt the lighter the better with any boats. Never understood why they always put the tank in the tail vs. forward. Was really glad to see the new Nautique finally do that. I would also go one step farther and put the driver in the center also.
  7. Used both the CG and Whisper Fin on the NRG and both greatly improved performance. Best performance improvement for the onside turn cost .15 cents. As per instructed by Adam Cord, to place a washer under the center fin box bolt to attain a depth differential of .030....This greatly improved the onside turn. RFF equals washer on left side.
  8. Keep in mind Nate is in the weight range for a 66" Ski, yet has chosen to ride a 67" Larger Ski...Seems to make it turn pretty well !!!
  9. Anyone try one of these on a Masterline Curved 13" Ergo Handle ??
  10. Bought 3pair...They are slightly thicker than Straight Line and some others I've used, however, they should last a lot longer than the thin ones....Plus, I cut the fingers off anyway to increase feel through the gloves, while protecting palms from blisters and calluses.
  11. Really looking forward to you Guy's reviewing the 54" Goode..Thanks !!!
  12. Revision S with the Single puck was the best upgrade I have made. It tracks many more satellites, reacts quicker, gives a much better pull, and the change to the Plus settings are fantastic. Like dialing in your own afterburner. I also feel my 2011 200 6L, now gives me a very similar pull to the new Ski Nautique and the 2020 - 200 I have driven and skied behind.
  13. Been using the back brace for the last 2 weeks and have to say it is the best, by far, that I have ever used. Light, water resistant, and you can tighten it as much as you can stand. So easy to use, with support in the right places for skiing. Highly recommend. Thanks for posting @Wish ... I am ordering a second one !!!
  14. @Cnewbert .... The Camaro Titanium Pro Top is a great choice...Very light and warm !! Love mine that I got from Performance.
  15. By all means set the fin up with your calipers. However, once you get your final settings, the marks come in handy as a reference point to quickly check if the fin has moved before each set. I've always used a pencil to make small reference marks between the fin and the ski on the bottom for that exact purpose.
  16. This is "GREAT." In the Video the looks the Baby gives him are precious. Looks like He is saying, "This is just boring, where the hell is my Slalom Ski."
  17. @Jody_Seal ... Great looking Lake, where is it located. Close to you in Panama City ??
  18. @perfski ... Thanks for the heads up....I just ran up there and picked up a Top and Shorty Wet-Suit. Would normally have waited till late Oct. or early Nov. since our water is still in the high 80's. Have been using Camaro for years. Even tried on some newer brands while at Perf Ski, but absolutely nothing compares to the lightness and warmth factor from Camaro. Thanks Bill and Mike !!!
  19. Have used the term Safety Check for years, but only as it related to 5 ball. If you had a good pass going and coming into 5 ball you would do a Safety Check, which meant "DON'T CRANK IT," but make an easy turn and pull a little long to 6 ball, as an insurance policy. Anywhere else in the course was scraping.
  20. Did anyone notice Caldwell's Denali looked different with an indention in front of the front boot ? Tony called it a C37, but I heard the next model was a C87.
  21. Chet is the hardest working coach in the business. Both myself and my Daughter that was young, skied with him a lot. Bring a video cam to capture all the things he is telling you and your Daughter, but tell whoever is videoing not to talk while in the boat. Just listen and learn.
  22. @SlalomSteve ... The C75 is so easy to ski you would have no problems with it. Where some high end skis are very critical to fin settings, with the C75 there are no BAD fin settings, some are just better than others depending on your weight, speed, and ability. Hope you get to try one in the future.
  23. +2 on Touchless Covers...It is it's own little boat house. Everyone with a Tournament Boat has one on my Lake. Love the fact that the boat gets to breathe. Mine has a large fan with a timer at the top so it circulates air and helps dry out the boat. Sure makes life better.
  24. @DW ... Thank you, that was my point. We had ZO dialed in right away, that wasn't the problem..The shock came when we lined up with the course for the first time and the amount of tilt the boat went to, it was extreme. Like an airplane in a 30 degree bank....I could put 2 Sumo Wrestlers as observers in my 200 and it would not have tilted anywhere close to that. Also, the centerline had an extremely hard bump that would bounce the ski. I suspect alignment on the Hydrogate, since it was in Slalom Mode... There is no way it could have been designed like that...If it was, others would have commented on that previously.
  25. @skierjp ...... I agree that the SN was NOT properly set up. It was just dropped in the water and left for us to figure out. Yes, we did Map the course and Yes, it was in Slalom mode, and Yes we set up the Micro-Tuners for the line length. However, no one had any idea that ballast was used in Slalom mode. I was the Guinea Pig to be the first to ski behind it. It was a BIG surprise to see the boat TILT to one side as much as it did. It was a LOT. We had to put the observer right behind the pylon to level it. Also, when skiing in the wake right behind the boat it felt hard and like you were running over gravel, not water. After what I went through, they got on the phone with a Friend of ours that drove Nate a lot behind the new SN. I had to leave, but they were working on the ballast system and how to set that up for Slalom, to balance out an observer. Someone mentioned the term, the boat was riding on the Chine. Hopefully they have it figured out by now and I get a chance to ski behind it again. I would still like to know that if you set in 38 or 39 off, if the tuners would change the wake for 28 and 32 off to eliminate the huge center bump I experienced since the tuners would be fully extended.
