  1. @mylemsky - I have a yellow which was my current ride until I blew up for the season yesterday. The other 67" skis I have are Helix H2 and Fusion.
  2. Just for clarity, my suggestion to fix and sell includes disclosing damage and repair to buyer- you won't get top dollar so I'd lean towards backup ski. But Eric's right, it'll ski just fine.
  3. @skifan, sure do. Mike's good at keeping our shed full of D3's. I have a couple 67's I'm anxious to move... You'll love the ARC, fix the quest and keep it as a backup or sell on Ski-it-again.
  4. Just did mine yesterday... Seeing ortho early next week, hoping for a straightforward recovery but I assume 2016 season is done... Don't know much except that it hurt like crazy and I was glad they knocked me out to pop it back in!
  5. @skifan I repaired an x5 with similar damage years ago and it was fine. That said, you'll love the new ARC!
  6. I might go next year if my kids are in, but it was just too far this year for both nationals and regionals.
  7. I'm also interested in any feedback on the handheld for our club. If it has the same functionality as the laptop version it would be great to have onsite.
  8. @skibrain - I left the vapor (green) for the Helix H2 and now the ARC. The H2 worked well for me, but I love the ARC. It definitely turns smoother. I think Horton's comment about it not punishing the overly aggressive might be why I like it so much. For me the older vapor was different. Similar top score but if I slipped into old bad habits it was game over.
  9. @chrisroddy We're all Ballers in training. I'm working on getting you a contact at Opechee. Will send you a pm soon.
  10. I'd be happy to accommodate if I can. My schedule this week could be a bit challenging, but feel free to reach out. If you could get in with the Opechee crew that would be fantastic because it is minutes away from where you are staying.
  11. Lots of carbon pro guys on here. I'm sure most are like me and would be happy to give you a pull if you are interested. Wakes on it are very small at all speeds and line lengths that I've tried. I think it is tough to find fault in any of the current boats on the market at 34/36 mph. The Carbon Pro is no exception and skis fantastic.
  12. +1 for flexbar and call Brenda @intow for a bent handle- I added ARS to mine. Elbow issues disappeared quickly.
  13. As a 2016 CP promo owner, I'm obviously biased, but the boat is built very well. My boat was the first I had seen in person since a 2011 that New England Correct Craft (after they lost Nautique line) was supplying for tournaments. The fit and finish on the boat is dramatically improved and top notch. I also ski an 07 196 6.0L with ZO regularly. That boat rocks too and was a crazy good deal, but I'm always smiling behind the pylon or the wheel of the CP. PS- it is available in early September if my son (B1) will let us sell it!
  14. Ouch- sorry to hear Than, come up and ski with us while it's in the shop.
  15. Beautiful boat! You are going to love it, our 2016 6.0L gets very positive feedback from all skiers and drivers.
  16. @whitecaps- I am on the standard (yellow) ARC in a 67" and I'm approximately your size (just a bit shorter and heavier...). Skiing 34mph, trying to find the exit gates at -38, but -35 is still far from automatic. I have a helix H2 which I really liked as well.
  17. @whitecaps - I'm thrilled with my new ARC. Like santangelo, I've been on a bunch of D3's and found them all really easy to hop on and ski to or above my average (x5, Fusion, Helix, Helix H2, Quest45). I have achieved a couple more buoys on the ARC than some of the others, but I think the difference between skis for me is the consistency with which I get to take on that challenge pass. All of the D3's I've tried have played well with my particular style vs the others I've tried, but the ARC is definitely a step above.
  18. We went from a 2011 LXI 6L to a 2016 carbon pro 6L, and have been very happy. The bow was typically a point of contention for us on the old boat, as kids would want to sit there when we were in the course. That is really the only thing I think you could miss at least from a slalom or jump perspective. I'm a promo guy in NH if you ever want to ski our drive it and find yourself in the northeast.
  19. I've been on the ARC for about 3 weeks. Like all D3 skis I have tried I was comfortable riding it from the first set. It turns awesome for me and gets me earlier consistently across course. My percentage at -35 is higher on this ski, and although I haven't conquered -38 yet, I'm getting more attempts at it than on any other ski I've tried. The Helix H2 worked really well for me too, but the ARC turns more consistently in my opinion. Prior to the H2 I was on the Vapor (green). I think my best on all 3 skis was close to the same, but I couldn't get consistency on the Green vapor. My old bag of tricks just didn't work on that ski, so I wasn't able to scramble back into passes after a mistake. I'm running stock settings and binding position so far, although I had my from binder loosen up and go way forward on me at one point. Ski felt far less smooth, but I ran right up into 38, fixed it between sets and did the same in my second set (felt much better though) after a binding move of 1/2" or more. Great reminder to check my gear more often, but also how forgiving D3's are for me.
  20. Good luck with sale Mike. I always loved skiing that boat up in Wolfeboro.
  21. Good luck with recovery. I did a full tear of my right pec tendon over a decade ago while skiing. The first season back it was a little tough to trust it, but I'm sure you'll be right back to normal soon. My bench press is just as lousy as it was before the injury now.
  22. @T-fromTO any specifics on your site? Hours etc? I'm in Oakville pretty regularly, and Buffalo occasionally too.
  23. @chef23 - bad news on the test ski, apparently the 97 Nautique was sold over the winter... Come ski our carbon pro, it works amazing for short sites! @wish- DBW was widely adopted in 06, but the 05 prostar had it. I think they were the first. We have an 05 tournament team 197 with zbox and it skis great.
  24. @Chef23 - let me know when you want to make the trip north
  25. @Chef23, one of our members has it on his 97 nautique, I'm sure we could coordinate a test ski. After convincing him to do it, I never did ski his boat last year... I have had good results on my DBW Mastercraft.
