  1. Again, great skiing. @Matt. Yes, sometimes I get lucky and do OK too.
  2. At one time I was lucky enough to have a skier who ran 41 in a pro event tell me the truth many skiers try to disprove. It looks so fast and hard because it is. Angle is a by-product of speed. You must travel further in the same amount of time as the rope gets shorter. There was a long talk about feet per second traveled at 36 mph skier speed VS 70 mph skier speed. This video of a nearly impossible run answers the question of why does it get harder as the rope gets shorter.
  3. A HUGE score of 4 and a half at 38 off. Record tournament. One turn from being into 39. Great skiing this year.
  4. I was wondering how the Ventral wing worked out for you guys this year ? My ski felt smoother and faster so I left mine, but I stopped skiing after the first week of July with NO plans to remove it..
  5. I was thinking you took normal videos and slowed them down. I am not too tech savvy
  6. Can you please post Nate at 38 through 41 from the gold rush tournament at 1/4 speed to see how it's done?http://static.cl1.vanilladev.com/ballofspray.vanillaforums.com/uploads/FileUpload/d7/1b5e688a8f411c2cdfdfb774a5b4b8.jpg
  7. I found edged in water 2 a huge disappointment. Nothing like the first one.
  8. Watching skiers ski and listening to the boat, I have always thought ZO is perfect. When I Ski, it feels perfect to me. I like C2 if I feel the boat pulling me in the pre turn, I go to C3.

  10. As the rope gets shorter you must travel further to reach the buoys. If you have the same amount of time, you must have to travel faster ......?
  11. I added a single straight wing to the front of my fin in the normal ventral position and loved it. The ski felt faster and smoother. How is yours?
  12. I skied just before Andy the day he skied M3 unofficially. He ran 4 @ 43 in the second round so he score 14 buoys more than my 2 @ 39. Makes for a good story.......

  14. Anyone know if there is a webcast for the event?
  15. I think it is his unsurpassed strength to weight ratio and his strength/power in the transition/pre-release with 2 hands on the handle.
  16. @ boody - It is his unsurpassed strength to weight ratio and his strength/power in the transition/pre-release with 2 hands on the handle. There are some good pics of Will applying the same way above.
  17. I had the same problem earlier this year. The rear of my plate was coming up and off in my transition behind the boat. With new Velcro it got worse. I went with 400 to the 250 from the middle of the plate back and that fixed the issue.......... when replacing, I used the white backed 250. I weigh 170. I completely cover the plate and ski. I believe the new 250 is NOT as strong as the old 250. Recently I went to a shorty rear hard shell where my heel can lift up in the back. I believe this would NOT have been an issue with my new setup where my heel can lift up freely in the back.
  18. learning to set and hold good, solid position. Practice on the pylon with a handle. Copy your favorite pro skier. If you can, go get some good coaching or ask the best skier you can find to help you out.
  19. What is the best advice you have that you think might help other skiers ?
  20. 38 feels easy when it is 35. When the rope is at 38 off the purple section of the rope is inside the boat. Purple cannot cross over the side of the boat. Period.............. It felt easy for 38 because it was 35.
  21. Does anyone know if any of the top pro's are skiing the VW ? If so who and for how long?
