  1. I read this somewhere else. Sounded official.
  2. Anyone try or know of scuba gloves or hoodie that may make cold water / air temps more tolerable. Not looking at setting any PBs so not concerned on hurting my performance. Looking at being comfortable without freezing my butt off. Having an unusually cold winter for Northern California standards.
  3. Our first xmas in our new home . My xmas present this year was waking up to this in my backyard ! It sucked moving in December before the holidays but it was all worth it.
  4. I'm thankful for a lot of things ,but today I'm thankful for my view from my kitchen window . Just moved in a few days ago and can see the gates while I eat breakfast. Hurry up warm weather !
  5. @jhughes Im surprised the Cherokee made such a bad tow vehicle. I towed my ski Brendella with my Cherokee all the time. It didn't sag like that at all.
  6. Yikes. Tournament now days would take for ever ! Although some good shortline skiers may not be able to run 15/30 Lol!
  7. Came across this one. Another manufacturing who utilizes recessed trim tab.
  8. The g23 I believe is unique as it is recessed into the hull and flush with the stern. Everyone else's attitude plates / trim tabs extend off the stern.
  9. Doesn't Nautiques hydro gate pretty much do address this ?
  10. I am surprised on how many ski a slalom course on public water. Here in Sacramento Ca I think it's easier to get access to private site vs setting up a course on a public water. I used to set one up on Folsom lake. You had to get there while it was still dark and get off by 8 or forget it. I got ticketed for obstruction of a waterway one morning and decided it was time for private site.
  11. Yes very challenging especially when I am scared of heights ! Now only bothered by being high up on things attached to the ground . Waterskiing keeps me as close to earth. So no worries there. Snow skiing tho , still can't stand chairlifts. I'm pretty good snow skier but can't handle the chair. Avoid the long and high lifts. If I ever hit the lotto I'll be buying another. But will hire a pilot to fly it. I'll just do the take off and landings. As long as they are VFR !
  12. Yes. And I said on the survey , Milller should be taken off the shelves. Even in a pinch I don't think I could suck down a MGD
  13. Keystone 12pk @ 4.99 and Naty light/ice kegs were our college favorites. One semester we called our rush week fookinboozin used the Vw stick guy logo on shirts. We poured close to 100 kegs of Naty light. That was a rough week !
  14. @eleeski My 172 cost 43k. That was not the big expense. It was the annuals that never were under $1000 like estimated more like $3000-$4000. The audio panel That failed. The radios that failed both at separate times , The gyro that failed. The hit and run that some sleeze ball pilot nailed the tail of my plane. The winter storm with high winds that damaged the plane. The early TBO Had to replace engine. then I lease back to a flight school that lost my wheel pants and log books. Plus to keep that dam thing at the airport. No thanks I was done.
  15. there is a dirt runway at our club that also is the short cut to the lake. have to watch out for them in the spring.
  16. you think new boats cost a lot! my 1973 cessna drove me to the poor house. was glad to sell that money pit. im in the wrong income bracket for aircraft ownership!
  17. The obvious choices would be to try and find the early 90s Mastercraft or ski Nautique. May be hard to find one for 9000 either equipped or less than that so you have enough left over to install stargazer. As long as the engine is strong cosmetic issues can always be taking care of later. Another boat to consider on a budget may be the ski Brendella you can probably find those anywhere between four and $6000 just have some wood issues that you may have to check out https://sacramento.craigslist.org/boa/5283029164.html
  18. I would like a pair as well. Have a cable park 15 minutes away. Tried trick skis but I think the cable spins too fast for them. I superman'd it a few times on the corners.
  19. Don't mean any disrespect , but if you don't like the current use of the lake , why did you just buy a house there ?
