  1. Now that sounds like a plan. I don't wantbto blow anti freeze into the lake so just run in on land and blow it out ?
  2. I have never winterized my boat as I live in California and usually just stick in my garage during the somewhat risky months. I am moving at the end of November and my garage is a mess with no room for boat. It's gonna have to sit out for a bit. Normally wouldn't worry as November is normally pretty warm. It's still in the 80's now ! But just my luck we will get a freeze when it's sitting out. Won't have access to power where I'm gonna stick it so can't use engine block heater. What should I do at the very minimum? Don't want to get too crazy as it will be going indoors in December
  3. That reminds me I need to take mine off decided not to sell. Looks like mine has the second highest hours !
  4. I'm having second thought about learning to jump after watching this !
  5. I've said it before , the current tournament format sucks . It sucks in three ways. 1) sucks so bad 2) sucks so hard 3)sucks so much Forcing skiers to buy expensive new ZO boats to be competitive , sucks so bad Forcing new skiers to compete in age brackets vs ability , sucks so hard. Forcing skiers to ski on private lakes and making public lake courses far and few between , sucks so much. Start there and the sport can grow. Do nothing and there will be hundreds of private lakes empty or turned into surf lakes in 20 years when all of us ballers are either dead or too old too ski.
  6. No matter what position that plate is in , the wake should not be that big at ski speeds. You have something going on there. But yes slightly down typically lifts the rear and would flatten the wake.
  7. @Waternut I was thinking the same thing. Don't think too many people would buy that boat.
  8. My steering has always become stiff not loose when cable needed replacement.
  9. It's your money and ultimately your happiness with the results either way you go. I don't ski at your level , but at the end of the day a1994 Mastercraft prostar is a 1994 prostar regardless of the upgrade. If you try and sell it down the line a very small percentage of buyers will understand the upgrade therefore you will never get any return on it. I appreciate people say this is the last boat I will ever own ,I've said it myself , but a new cooler boat comes along and who knows you may want it. A 2008+ nautique will not only give you the ZO pull , but give you more room with a trunk , better tracking , and a better wake. Not to mention a boat that will give you a better resale if and when the time comes. If it were me and I could do the mechanics like you , fix the current motor , sell it for 10gs amd buy a Nautique ! You won't regret the decision now or later.
  10. Wow looks like a huge wave coming off that little boat !
  11. You must have deep wide lakes. I just walk to shore.
  12. The tooling and sourcing all the fit and finish is what gets expensive quickly. The mold is just a small part of the puzzle
  13. I just came across 7 if anyone is interested. I believe only used once on my portable.
  14. Saw this posted , apparently built by Bryant. $39k. Certainly interesting
  15. My son loves design a boat. This was his creation tonite. Actually pretty cool . Not sure if I would be crazy enough to order a boat he designed!
  16. It's really not that bad. At 32mph and up 15/22 is very skiable.
  17. my buddy has one, and for your described use , it sounds perfect.it has tons of room, decent slalom wake and plenty of wake for boarding. if you do however decide that semi to real serious slalom course skiing maybe in your future, the x9 will need to go.
  18. Hopefully nothing worse than a few beers afterwatds cant handle
  19. years back the t5 was used at boardstock to pull the slalom event. centurion sponsored. did not hear good things about it, but to be fair the conditions were awful. I cant help but believe the rlxi will be much better and still offer roominess.
