  1. I have had two days so far this season that I could barely run a pass. Each of these were preceded by a brutal crossfit workout the day before. Both times I didn't think it would effect my skiing, couldn't have been more wrong.
  2. Mark Timm 48 years old, skied tournaments here in Washington from the late 70s to early 90s. Gave up water skiing for better than 15 years. After talking to some of my old friends that I skied with in the Boys Division (remember when it was just Boys and Jr. Boys) at the Western Regionals @ Ski Park a few years back. I decided to get back into skiing and haven't looked back. I am in the Sand and Gravel Business and my boss and I have turned two of the old gravel pits into ski lakes. Best job perk in the world access to two ski lakes.
  3. Snow Skiing (Member of the Crystal Mt. Volunteer Patrol) and Crossfit 4 - 5X a week.
  4. I took a few very hard falls last summer and my Strada boots released perfectly and they have never released when they shouldn't have. Best binding I have ever used.
  5. Search the forums @ http://www.planetnautique.com The GT40 is the same motor as the F150 Lightning, most of the parts are interchangeable.
  6. How about a job that includes two Ski Lakes as Perc?
  7. The water level in the Gravel Pit I ski in is 4ft above the previous high water level and the snow skiing has been great. Long story short, snow skiing when I should have been water skiing = dislocated thumb = surgery. No skiing of any kind until July. Winter Sucks!!!
  8. Thanks, been a lurker for a while, love the site. Mark Timm
  9. I still have a couple Wally Burr slaloms and a pair of trick skis.
  10. 92 its regular gas without the ethanol or mtbe.
  11. Don't want to brag but last winter my fuel supplier hooked me up with some clear fuel, the stuff that doesn't go bad, I have close to a three year supply at the lake. I am feeling pretty good about that investment right now.
  12. I think a special font just for sarcasm might be a good thing for internet posts.
  13. I recently got back into the sport after a 15 year break. I let other things in life take priority and forgot who i was and what was important in life. Obviously family is number one but skiing is a close second. The greatest part has been the fact that my family enjoys their time at the lake almost as much as i do and my daughters are skiing as well. Back in the 80s and early 90's the tournament scene here in the NW was alot like a large extended family some of the best times of my life. Just the other day I was thinking about skiing and the difference between now and then. I came to the conclusion that back in the day I lived to ski now I ski to live.
  14. Our biggest problem is the boat surging we have seen speed swings from 33.1 to 35.6, I am starting to think part of the problem is the four barrels engaging and causing the big surge. I had been out of the sport for a while but I seem to remember back in the day some drivers unhooking the four barrels for slalom. Does that still apply with PP?
  15. You may want to search through some old posts on this site, I think Jody Seal had some PP parts for sale. I have 96 Nautique and I was able to piece together a full system. I agree with Scot Jones stay away from Stargazer, We put Stargazer on 1990 MC and have been fighting it all summer. I have classic on my Nautique and it works great, I refer to it as my perfect wife.
  16. Tournaments are definetly a personal choice for many reasons, to me it was always about challenging myself. Not to mention the lifetime friendships, the co-best men at my wedding were brothers that I would have never met had it no been for skiing tournaments.
