  1. Nate has judged at the CA Pro Am in the past. I think both him and Regina (maybe) judged in the boat for Masters Men.
  2. More great service from Performance! Spoke with Bill. Instead of leaving me on hold, he was going to check if they had in stock XS gloves for the wife. Called right back and having them drop shipped from the factory.
  3. @Jmoski do you turn off the main power switch at night? Because of the computers on these newer boats, they still draw some power from the battery. They will not crank over if the voltage is too low (even though the batter is not dead).
  4. @Horton I haven't received my email about ordering my new C-85? Need to upgrade my C-75.
  5. @dirt I thought you were a Trick specialist now? So why do you need a slalom line? Will steal @dirt when he gets it and give it a try, since it will be brand new.
  6. Everyone is an expert at everything on the internet.
  7. @horton send her a little bell, so she can summon @The_MS when she needs something.
  8. @klindy I appreciate your answers trying to show what is going on with the board. But why isn't the board pushing for the general membership to just use the annual as the only one we need? Then add the other modules for coaches and team personnel. We should always be questioning requirements if they don't fit the need/outcome, not just following the lemming line off the cliff.
  9. I did the training over the weekend. I don't know the actual time, as I did it off an on over the weekend, but it was over 90 min. My issue with the training was the majority was geared toward coaches and team travel. If USAWSWS is going to mandate this for all general members, they should push back to USOC and Safe Sport to create a 20-30 min program for general members. They could cover what to watch for, mandatory reporting and bullying. It would be add options to all sports organizations that are required to have a program.
  10. Cool Tech, but how much will a Koenigsegg motor be? Their cars are affordable.
  11. So everyone knows, the West is the only region that requires tournaments be set up as of 12/31. So would need to compare to prior years to see if any changes.
  12. @dirt they can ski, they just can't judge per the previous posts.
  13. @boscoman I fractured my scapula a few years ago and was back skiing in 6 weeks. Should not be an issue to ski by spring.
  14. Performance is great, got some gloves a couple of weeks ago. Sent our right away.
  15. What are people doing for alternative fin settings? My wife just got her C85 and has two sets on it so far. Tried stock settings, she didn't like them and said the ski felt like it was behind her in the turn. Last night I put my C75 short and deep settings and she liked it better, but it wasn't finishing the turn like her old ski (D3 EVO with Whisper Fin). She skis 32mph and gets into 28 off.
  16. @dirt you are scheduled to ski at 7am on Monday after regionals.
  17. @Mateo_Vargas and @brettmainer with 3 days on 3 lakes vs 4 days for 2 lakes it gives you 9 days vs. 8 days. So you actually end up with more options. Also the last time Bell Acqua did regionals the number of skiers was only in the mid 300's. The last time is was over 400 in the region was when Nationals was in Bakersfield. The number of skiers is not the issue, it is making sure we don't over work the officials and if people have to have a lot of practice. Practice would only be available on the actual tournament lakes if they finish early enough (and site briefing day).
  18. @jjackkrash yes, there will be on site camping.
  19. There is a lot of talk about regionals currently and whether we try some new options or keep it the same. A lot of people have probably heard, Bell Acqua put in a bid for 2022 western regionals and it was accepted by the council. We have had a lot of discussion between ourselves about whether to do it over 3 (Fri - Sun) or 4 (Thurs - Sun) days. There are pluses and minuses to both options. Before you vote, please read the following qualifiers: 3 days: 1) Would be held on all 3 lakes and would require a lot more from officials and volunteers. If voting for 3 days are you willing to help more with judging, video or dock starting? Also if you are close, would you be willing to upgrade your officials rating before regionals (Regular or Senior)? 2) Practice would be limited to day before regionals and if any time remaining once lake is complete for the day. 3) Could be longer days to get everything completed (Jrs for the banquet Sat night). 4) Less vacation used or could extend vacation to visit Northern CA (Tahoe, Napa, Bay Area) 4 days: 1) Would most likely be held on two lakes and one lake would be dedicated to practice. Could be more relaxing days and end earlier so could have practice on the other two lake too. 2) Would not over work the officials as much. 3) Would be able to watch more of the skiing and/or family members ski if helping or skiing on another lake. There are other issues and positives to each option, but these are the main concerns. Also, please only vote if you are a Western Regional skier. Want to see what skiers would like to see happen and add their thoughts to our discussion about the format.
  20. @horton congratulation on the win. Does it make it more sweet that you beat @dirt?
  21. @S1Pitts Was your US Gear size a 1.07 or is that the current measured diameter? I have been leery to go with the ML due to the 1" is just too small. I use the 1.06 US Gear and am down to my last handle.
  22. Did @schroed help break it in? I'm sure @dirt would have liked to get his hands on it too for a test ride. Like the simple mostly white color.
  23. @Jtim3032 it would be a nice feature for us promo boat people. To have a way to save Mountpoint and PW as we go to multiple lakes. Most around me now have a base station. Currently I'm just saving them in a notepad file.
  24. @jjackkrash You just need to enter their Base station ID and Password in your rover phone, under GPS/Network info. You can also transfer their course file so you don't have to map it.
