  1. I think Freddie gained a lot of new fans today. I'm one of them.
  2. I wonder if the boat video may have caught which color loop was on the pylon before Nates last pass. They seem to shoot the rope change regularly. It's just a rumor at this point. But I don't think this thing is going to end as quietly as it appears from the webcast.
  3. Now there's a rumor flying that they put Nate on 43 his last pass and not 41. This is unbelievable.
  4. I'm sure he did. But the judges gotta make the right call the first time.....and not change it. With all the cameras and slow-mo replays, how could they basically reverse their call twice?? 3@41 first call 5@39 second call 3@41 third call Silly.
  5. The crazy thing is....they DID hold him at the dock! Then they told him 5@39. I can't believe they changed it again after Nate skied. It is disappointing that Nate didn't do more at 41. It will probably cost him the title.
  6. Gotta say that Freddie showed as much heart as I've ever seen. I'd love to see him take home the title. But I think Nate has more than reasonable grounds for protest. Will be interesting to see what happens.
  7. I guarantee Nate gets around 1 at 41 if they hadn't told him 5@39 was the score to beat
  8. @MaxSki196 There is also a submersible course in Young Deer Creek. The owner also skis at a "catfish pond" in Jefferson, Ga. I live at Whitestone (that OB mentioned above) and would be happy to give you a pull any time. We are skiing almost every day
  9. It's the Indian, not the arrow. (or his shoes)
  10. @liquid d Not quite sure I agree with you on that one. It it was more efficient on the onside. On the offside, you rotate the handle over to reach and back over to grab. But this only happens on the offside turn. As far as the "looping motion" or handle across the body, I don't see that. And handle in the water? I dont get that either. Maybe we aren't talking about the same thing?
  11. @Raxorskier1 Sounds like a valid excuse.....but CP...... Back to the excuse drawing board for me!
  12. I know I certainly have underlying body position problems. (otherwise I'd be running 38 every day) I've had a hard time finding the happy medium between dropping the head shoulders to the inside of the turn......to the opposite where I end up getting "bowed up" at the end of the turn......where the hips get way ahead of the upper body and I get a lot of tip rise. This palm down technique seemed to help me find that happy medium. It may be a placebo....but I'll certainly keep tinkering with it
  13. In the past, I've almost always reached with my thumb towards the sky, or palm facing down-course. Yesterday I tried a little experiment and very consciously thought about reaching with my palm down towards the water. For whatever reason, I really seemed to ski better! One of the guys I was skiing with mentioned that he knew of a pro that always suggested reaching palm down. The question I have is why? My hypothesis is how palm direction impacts shoulder rotation. It feels like reaching with palm down, its easier and more natural to keep my shoulders level. Rotating the palm back seems to open up the shoulder which seems to make it easier for the upper body to want to fall in and back. Considering I just read @luzz 's article about internal vs external references, I'm debating if I should even continue to pursue this new found technique. But I gotta say, it has yielded good results early on. Does anyone have any similar experiences or thoughts as to why this may improve one's skiing?
  14. If you've got the dough....6.0
  15. @Deanoski I've had the heel blocks and never mounted them. Now that I have to replace the plate, I will. And now I see what you're referring to. No new screws or nuts needed. Thanks!
  16. I have them. But I need new screws/nuts to mount the release to the new plate. The existing ones are stripping
  17. I just bought a new plate and liner from them. Oh....and a 2014 SN 200. Maybe they'll throw in the hardware. Ha
  18. I need to replace the hardware (8 screws and 8 nuts) that mount the release mechanism to the plate. Does anyone know the correct size? I'm hoping to find replacements at the local hardware store. Thanks!
  19. @susanm1ski This is my first time logging on in a while. Let me know how I can help!
  20. He loves the water....as long as he doesn't have to actually swim!
  21. Application of throttle relative to when skier begins to load off the ball:
  22. I went from B2 to C2. Felt like I got more free of the boat after the second wake. The few other 36 mph guys I ski with all use B2. But I don't think any of them have really tinkered around with it. A lot of people just put B2 bc it's middle of the road and never change it from there.
  23. "As with Florida’s invalidated statute, the VHDPA intended to curb the practice of “splashing” boat hulls. Splashing occurs when a manufacturer takes a finished boat hull and dips it into some mold-making compound to produce a mold of the hull. Imagine filling a pan with modeling compound (such as Play-Doh® brand), sticking your hand into the compound to create an impression, and then filling the void with resin to create a duplicate of your hand – you have just “splashed” your hand."
