  1. I will say that the new ProStar seems to be flatter off the second wake than the 200. It just seems like I'm catching that lip excessively, making it hard to be in total control into 1. But for the life of me I can't seem to figure out a remedy. Maybe there's not one. I'll try and take some video tomorrow.
  2. I dont feel it at 28-35 (36 mph) But it gets really bad at 38 @Wish
  3. So I just found this video of Andy. He appears to be hitting the lip of the trough at every wake crossing. This is at 39, but is representative of what I'm feeling. Maybe it's normal??? Doesn't feel right though!!
  4. I'm a LFF forward skier. I am consistently getting caught in the trough off the second wake through the gates at 38 off. My ski goes down in the hole, then hits the lip, and bucks me up.....making it very hard to have a consistent one ball. I watch the pros ski and they seem to glide right over the trough. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas on possible cause? Possible solutions?
  5. I just wanted to put it in terms that you would understand. That was completely a joke. Don't ban me.
  6. Nice reply @Horton ! But technically, they are called Canada Geese. People often incorrectly call them Canadian. Whitney McClintock is Canadian, these geese are Canadas.
  7. @Horton should get a Panda for the title of this thread. There's no such thing as a Canadian Goose or Canadian Geese....
  8. 96 degree water?!?! Holy crap! If I'm gonna ski multiple rounds Saturday, I better pack some ice water and sand paper! I bet many callouses get ripped this week!
  9. My first panda. Not sure how I feel about that!
  10. Did I ruin your fun @Wish ? Sorry! Didn't mean to!
  11. Looking at comments on social media, even the wakeboarders are expressing disappointment.
  12. It seems like they are trying to follow the "hype" model that MC used when launching the new Prostar. Unfortunately, hype can lead to expectations, and expectations can lead to disappointment. "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine!"
  13. I'll be sticking my entry in the mail this week for the 36 mph division!
  14. Waterski Mag just posted this article: http://www.waterskimag.com/features/2015/07/11/4-keys-to-an-awesome-offside-turn/?src=SOC&dom=fb As I'm on the road for work this week and can't ski, it got me thinking about drills I could do to try and mimic or practice what is being described. Any ideas or suggestions?
  15. @Horton What's up with the date change? When will you know for sure?
  16. Whitestone Lakes is situated right between the Carolinas and Florida! Just sayin'!
  17. Excellent idea @Horton I think this is a much better system! It gives the 38 off and shorter guys a chance to be competitive
  18. @Andre I know a guy running double reflex. He seems to be liking the setup. He was on Fogmans before.
  19. I was at my grandparents house yesterday to celebrate family birthdays. In the driveway sits the boat that started it all for me in the early 80's....and the skis too!
  20. I'm almost positive that the new engine lineup will be a standard 5.3 to replace the 5.7 and an optional 6.2. But game changer? Maybe there's more.
  21. Perception is reality....even if it's not. I think the perception of the market is about 100 miles per hour. Very few people would consider buying a boat with more than 1000 hours or a car with more than 100,000 miles. These 2 numbers seem to be highly correlated.
  22. Here's my observation of the new Flex Tail. Observation is a key word here. I haven't skied on one, but I've watched a ski buddy transition to one. After his first few sets, he didn't look any different on this ski than he had on his past skis. At this point, I really didn't think there was anything special or different about this ski. However, after making a few tweaks to settings, this ski seemed to come alive. The most apparent and observable difference was the speed with which he would get across course. He was consistently rocketing across the wakes making him wider and earlier at every ball. He certainly ran easier and lighter 32's and 35's. Only time will tell if it helps him run more buoys than his previous skis.
