  1. I definitely wouldn't be surprised to see smaller displacement engines with more power and better fuel economy.
  2. It's hard to see, but if you look really closely, you can see that the "g" is highlighted red. My guess is something with the G-series boats....but I've also heard speculation on the 2016 ski boats as well.
  3. I understand. We hosted 11 events last year. But when it came to trying to host a "premier" event, almost every weekend conflicted with something else.
  4. @dtm Its a constant rolling 12 months
  5. @Horton I was going to ask the same thing. Nationals will be my last event as a 36mph skier
  6. @Horton, OB doesn't drink kool aid, he smokes crack....and he's an addict.
  7. @MattP Finding a regionals schedule is extremely difficult.....every year. I know it's out there somewhere. It should be easy to find but never is. Let me know if you find it.
  8. @Horton Just dictate to @MattP He needs some work to do
  9. Everyone should bring a case of a local brew from their hometown!
  10. Yes. What's important is the relation of your ankle bone to the back of the boot. If your ankle is further forward than the "assumed" position, then your measurement for your front boot would be off.
  11. I hope not. We were just there for Nationals. Nothing against Austin, I'd just prefer a "new" site!
  12. Just a wild guess....Bako
  13. When you reduce length, just make sure that your depth and dft stay the same. You only want to make one change at a time.
  14. Sounds like something I recently experienced. It sounds like the ski snaps around as you move forward over the front in the offside? If this is the case, you probably need to reduce length as you said. When I was experiencing the same thing I felt like I was either riding the tail (no turn initiation) or it would suddenly snap around on me with no happy medium. Reducing length resolved this for me. .005 would be a small, incremental move. .010 would be a good, noticeable move. .015 is a large move that would dramatically change the turning characteristics. Based on what you said, I'd make a .010 decrease in length and then fine tune from there.
  15. @bishop8950 Really good stuff here. I really like the "x marks the spot" concept. Thinking about hooking up a little further down course and a little further in has certainly helped me and @fizer this past week. My first set trying this concept I ran 38 2 out of 3 times and @fizer has run 38 in each of his last 4 sets. It's been VERY helpful for both of us. Thanks for the insight!
  16. I bought my stuff from Miami Ski Nautique. H2Osmosis sells them too.
  17. For those that are looking for more 3 event experience, get plugged in with the local college events. They are always looking for officials. It's a great way to give back while getting more experience. I got most of my 3 event credits at collegiate events. I was lucky enough to be asked to participate in a couple collegiate nationals as well as collegiate all stars. It's always a fun scene!
  18. @Than_Bogan Picking you up too soon off the ball? Too late? Having a hard time getting free of the boat off the second wake? Feeling you're throttled too hard through the edge change? Just gotta go with what you feel and use the following chart as your basis for change:
  19. Phishing if the "reply to" doesn't match up. Delete.
  20. @Stejcraftben That was my exact experience as well. Skiing behind a 6.0 Nautique seemed easier and slower. But the Malibu definitely felt like I was skiing 38mph!
  21. @ThePantsManCan It was 36 mph. I'm not that old....yet. I'll be graduating to 34 mph after Nationals this year.
  22. @scotchipman I ski C2 behind the 5.7 and 6.0 Nautique. I also ski C2 w 5.7 MC. I have not skied behind a larger MC engine. The larger Malibu engines I went to C1
