  1. I can go to tommys and get your prize that way you have to come ski with me to get it. Congrats big sis.
  2. Cylinder 2 side. Probly shouldn't read ball of spray and drive.
  3. I don't know on a boat but on a car that's the heating element inside the oxygen sensor. Replace sensor. B2 is bank 2 so whatever side cylinder is on replace that sensor. Its in the exhaust sewhere.o2 sensors don't work under 600the degrees hence the heater. .. at least on a car....
  4. That's a true statement. I do need to really work on being lighter on the line.
  5. I've broke three ropes in the last four years. I change when they feel like a rubber band. If you ski with a brand new rope then a very old rope you will feel the extra stretch in the old rope.
  6. I take one pass free skiing and then into the course at my tournament opener and right up the rope to my hardest pass. Im usually one a bouy or two off of previous season average. I think it's just a matter of finding what works for you.
  7. I think slalom skiers by nature are type A personalities. Everything is a competition to us. We are just curious as to what's at stake and who is winning.
  8. @talean28 Marcus if your skiing talents are worth enough money to earn a living then you'll continue to earn a living WITHOUT dropping tweets to the community like this. DO YOUR JOB! I think most find this comment offensive. Just cause he tweets doesn't mean he isn't doing his job and yelling (all caps) at an incredible person and athlete to do his job, one that you admitted you don't know much about. Doesn't sit well with me or I think with most on this site. Imho.
  9. @jody seal what are you looking to get out of it if you posted it on ebay at 475? I might be interested in it for that price. Rode one last summer and really liked it but wanted to stay brand loyal and buy a strada. Your ski might make me change my mind.
  10. Not a clue but that's why I am seeking coaching this year. Probly going to do the video coaching.
  11. They hold a tournament in steamboat colorado. That would be a fun tournament I think. Its ski town usa plus where else do you get to ski at 9000the feet.
  12. Waterski lifestyle. Live in a fifth wheel trailer from mid april til first of october. Go to my actual house once a week to do laundry. Drive an extra half hour each way to work to live at lake. Ski everyday after work till dark. That pretty much sums it up. Can't wait to start getting up at 545 am every morning to go to work cause that means its lake time.
  13. I went from animals to strada. Was back to normal in a week, I love those things. However I don't take it easy when I tighten them up. They go almost as tight as I can get. I will probly regret that if I ever fall hard enough to need a release, but in the mean while I feel really connected to my ski.
  14. I actually started this discussion after watching Wim Decree video. He does exactly that. When running lines 32 through 38 it appears to me that he changes edges early but at 39 he comes up in the same spot but maintains the outside edge to help gain width and advance on the boat. I wonder if that can be used at longer lines?
  15. Thanks guys. These were the answers I was looking for. @razorskier1 how di you avoid lean lock? I think I do that a lot and that's the reason I have to initiate my edge change.
  16. @Big_G I am currently looking at buying a 196 and upgrading. Any ideas on total cost? Can a guy do it himself.
  17. I guess I am just a dreamer. I don't expect waterskiing to ever compete with football for spectators. That being said there used to be a pro tour on ESPN. They show fishing for crying out loud. Watching someone slalom is far more entertaining than watching someone else fish. I feel that if we had a condensed version waterskiing could compete with fishing. I currently live in Colorado and can definitely agree with Horton that skiing here on a good lake is very expensive. My family moved to Kansas when I was younger and we drove 7 hours back to Colorado to ski on our lake almost every weekend. Why? Because we love our sport and I would love to see it grow. You go to tournaments and see maybe two new people a year and they ski one tournament and are gone. This leads to all the things Horton said above. I guess I dont see what OB is talking about with being over crowded I usually have trouble finding someone to ski with. I have to bribe a friend with diner all the time to just get a driver. @ral glad to hear it is growing somewhere.
  18. I agree our sport has virtually no publicity with it. We need to get the names of our pro skiers out to the public and let them see what we can do. If our pro skiers had a larger fan base then getting sponsors for tournaments or for webcasts would be easy. That is why my favorite skier right now is tgas. Him being on the italian dancing with the stars is a great service to our sport.
  19. I am a 28 to 35 off skier. I am 6 foot 2 and 205 so I am always looking for ways to be lighter. I have heard coaches say most people give up the stacked position to early but maybe I am one of the few who doesn't. Man do I hate winter I want to go try some new stuff and see if any of it works.
  20. Recently I have been reading a lot on technique. Mostly on here and Waterski Magazine articles. I feel I have been skiing with a false idea as to when you want the edge change. I used to think that "working" between the white water was meaning that you would initiate your pull at the start of the white water and pull to the center of the wakes then edge change on top of or just after the second wake so that when you exited the white water on the other side you hade done everything and were already setup in a good preturn. I have been thinking a great deal on this as I read the different articles and the forum. So I ask have I been 100% wrong? So I have been contemplating holding my edge until I am on the edge of the white water. I feel holding my edge will cast me out wider and more speed into the ball which will allow me to carry it around the ball and back into the wakes. This extra speed will allow me to ski "lighter" because I will not have to generate as much speed. Staying in a stacked position longer will be beneficial. Thoughts?
  21. Waterskiing...... its a family sport
  22. Do you guys have a heated boat house or do you re-winterize after every day? I would love to be skiing this time of year but no garage and don't want to winterize the boat every saturday.
  23. You get setup with which one you want to change then push menu until it highlights the arrow on the upper right and then push up or down can't remember want to say up. Then push menu until it highlights the baseline rpm. Then up and down from there. Winter here have played with it in a couple months but that's my recollection.
