  1. @than. Good luck Than! I won't be there because of a prior obligation. Family vacation- thats the last time I let my wife schedule trips.
  2. Still use the Straightline Ultra vest (looking into an Eagle vest to replace it). It still works, looks old and dated, but so am I. Ski limited had a great cheap version of the Straightline Classic kevlar glove. Had I known I could have bought 3 for the cost of 1 pair today. Than you need to go on the shampoo forum.
  3. The newer full suits are so much more comfortable. I try to ski as much as possible in the full, ditching the drysuit asap. I skied twice in the drysuit this year and one of times was on St. Patrick's Day (Irishman in Massachusetts).

    Boat value

I had a 87 that I sold in 1995 for 10,000. $4k sounds about right. Watch out for the 15off rooster tail. Other wise a nice boat for its time.
  5. Going there in late June as part of a family vacation to the national parks. Anyone know of ski sites on the lake (slalom courses)?
  6. Pretend to golf and snowski (but not this year. No snow in New England)
  7. I loved EPs in my younger days. I have a Comp X2 and a GX3 in my cellar along with my brother's Maherajah. All in exellent condition along with other skis of mine from the past. They line the walls of my man cave. Water skis make great decoration when no longer useful.
  8. I been a subscriber for almost 30 years now. Not much in it that I don't already know or found out about months earlier from other sources (bos, schnitz or water skiers forum). But I still get a kick from the magazine. It is my mindless read- great pictures, places and things to buy. Kind of like looking at the pictures in People magazine. It's entertainment and pumps me up for more skiing, especially this time of year.
  9. A pill that makes us all run 41 off. Slight side effects. But they say sex is over rated.
  10. Sorry, I started this confusion. I was thinking of the MR. I should read before I leap.
  11. @dbski. That is one cool looking wood boat. Love it. Restoring a boat like that is something I want to do when I retire. I don't have the time or the money to do it now. Is that a 62' Merc? And what is the hp?

    tatoo

Steve Cole from NY has a simple handle tattoo. It is small and simple. I hate tattoos but this was the only one I thought was not bad or low key or even tasteful. That said, don't do it. You will regret it.
  13. Harald Hintringer skis on one.
  14. Can't ski early due to lake rules (after 9am). Have a hard time skiing after work (wallys). Hope to free my self up at lunch, call my wife to make sure she's home and most times the lake is quiet at this time. I do get out with my ski partner late afternoons and weekend mornings (and hope the lake is quiet).
  15. I know I'm in the minority here, but I love my Goode hard-shell setup. Wore out my old set and bought the new version with the steel buckles. I have not had any pre-release problems like others, but I do double check the velcro connection and replace velcro from time to time. Over all the least expensive bindings for me because it is usually a cheap fix to repair and they have been overall durable. Been using them since 2005 (still using original g-10 plate).
  16. Pat Morrill from Brimfield, MA. Skiing since I was 7. Competitively since 24. I am now 44 and in my last year of Mens 3. I ski in front of my home on a public lake (Little Alum, Brimfield, MA). Not great skiing conditions, but its not bad either. I ski on a Goode 9900 and behind a 09 SN 196. I am the owner/operator of a funeral home in Southbridge, MA and skiing is the best release from work for me. As is everybody else on this forum I am addicted to water skiing. My wife is Lori and my daughter Kathryn is 10. She just started skiing this year after many years of prodding. And ya know what? She thinks its fun! Daddy can't always be wrong. I love good beer, good music, and enjoy golf (as long as it does not take time away from skiing). I have been an avid LA/St. Louis Rams fan since I was 5 years old.
  17. Low bridge...LOW BRIDGE...LOW BRIDGE!!!!!!!!!
  18. Ah great beer and great gin... I knew I joined this forum for a reason! Sapphire man myself. But mostly love great beer. (anything from Stone, Bear Republic, OsKar Blues, Dogfish, etc. .. to many great ones to mention)

    Nate slow

What I saw in this video that stands out to me is the progression to the gate. Even in slowmo you can tell he progresses patiently into the gate and is at his hardest (and its aggressive) pull at the left hand gate.
  20. 5'11", 175lbs. Goode 9900(reg.) 65.75". Average 2@38 in Tournaments and 3-4@38 in Practice.
  21. Agree with Brent. Love a few lakes and some for different reasons. Okeeheelee, Hidden Pass (probably the best I've skied on), Lake Holly (had a great regional moment there) and Spencer's Pond (a lot of fond memories skiing with Dave).
  22. 9400 talks about why I would not use the Fogman. I know someone who blew out their achilles using them in the manner 9400 described.
  23. I use earplugs for this very reason. Busted my ear drum 3 times (twice skiing a third doing something stupid). The first time I put in rubbing alcohol thinking it was swimmers ear. I remember crawling around like a mad man on all fours in pain trying to shake it out. It felt like someone stabbing my ear drum with an ice pick. So yes Horton it hurt really really really bad
