  1. Ya but my legs are so white I'm afraid I'm going to blind the driver.
  2. Ear plugs, rash guard (even though I probably don't need one), put ski on from the same side, if in tourny say a prayer to myself before I get in the water, need to have my Superfreak shorts down to my knees, Oh and pee when I have to. "Prop check"
  3. Why a tower? If your skiing into 22off - get rid of the kid stuff
  4. I had a 99SN. Loved the wake and my opening pass back then was 36mph - 22off. No bump or rooster. The tower could be the problem. If it wasn't for Zero Off I would have owned it for a few more years.
  5. Absolutely loved the video! On a sad note I like Than did not know Mark passed away. Saw him at the Vermont tourny and although ill, he looked to be in good spirits. You could tell the Rossi's were soaking in the moments with him. All good people from an area where there are a lot of good people (skiers).
  6. Anyone have problems with their ZO face plate coming off of the dash? I push it back on and it stays awhile but comes off fairly frequently. Any suggestions on addhering it back on? Boat:2009 SN196, if it matters.
  7. I think Eric was on to something with the lighter ski "snapping" a turn. When I first went from a older HO to my first Goode (9500), My eyes practically came out of my head with the first turn (how quickly it came around and out in front of me). I would have to think that has something to do with weight.
  8. My buddy is on a Strada 69.5 and loves it. He gets into 35off consistantly with it. No problem turning the ski. He is also 6-4 and 225-235 (a linebacker on skis).
  9. My buddy skis in Mission Bay. They have a great club and setup out there. I believe it is time specific because of tides. I'm not sure but they may have a website.
  10. Hold on to the handle with two hands as long as possible. Handle control is the key to 35.
  11. Very smooth Than. Good to see your recovery has gone well (both ankle and ski)
  12. My ski partner owns a 93 prostar and owned a 94 sn. The wake on the 93 MC is nice even compared to new boats. The 94 SN was nice but as noted by GAJ0004 firmer. The SN was a better built and stronger pull, I don't remember the spray at shorter lines. The 93 MC again, nice wakes, but an absolute killer at 35 and shorter with a 10 mph or more wind blowing. Like someone shooting water pellets at you.
  13. Than, I am liking what you wrote in the diary about the Nano One. My wife is not (I think she hates you now).
  14. @tsouthar, You could not keep that Cobalt in the course with a real skier behind it. Wake size for skiing no way comparible to even a 1990 ski boat of your choice.
  15. Zman, speaking of G3, Samantha Dumala (14 years old) got 5th in a run off with a score of 4 @38 off. She beat Taylor Woosley who had a score of 3@38off. Now that is some skiing.
  16. Webbdawg, the Main lake skis great, but I don't think Turnpike is much worst. It may be that Turnpike is narrower and a little tighter on the ends, but not short by any stretch. Also the crowds will be on the Main lake.
  17. Liquid d, I don't think a lot of slalom skiers would agree with your assessment of the MC. A lot of skiers find inconsistant wakes and pull from MC to MC. I have skied on some that were terrible and others that were OK (but still the worst of the 4 boats). It also lacks giddy up into the course. I hear its a great trick boat, but I don't trick.
  18. Thanks, I will look into both the Liquid Force and Hurley's.
  19. The newest pair I got was to lite and a little shorter than the previous. The older ones would kling to the legs getting up, these just bunch up.
  20. I always loved the Superfreaks from O'Neill, but they don't make them the same anymore. I'm looking for new brand of boardshorts that are comfortable and don't become speedos everytime I get up out of the water.
  21. I have the "newer" 41 tails and they seem the same as the "old" ones, its black with red instead of black with white. But get one size down from your normal size-they run large.
  22. Stretch out .....or beer.
