    Halt

@jipster43‌ He is last skier to go. Gets after it.
  2. @Stathis Ventouris great feedback, even greater skiing. Thank you.
  3. @ Stathis Venturi What ski were you o prior to.the XTM?
  4. @ShaneH please elaborate more on "the handle never stops moving"...forgive me. Any one have any Mechler in boat vid?
  5. @Ed_Johnson with the 656 how is it out of the hole? Can you be gradual or do you have to drop hammer?
  6. I went from FM's to Reflex an the biggest thing was fore aft, I thought I was going to go OTF. First set on Reflex, took me 2 times to get up, awesome at 6am. Only took a couple of sets to get used to. I could not go with the Reflex liner, Intuition much more comfortable and secure for me.
  7. Keith said it took him an entire summer to learn 38.
  8. @Than_Bogan Keith Doucette. @Pat M took the words out of my mouth. Wish I could have seen that one. His hometown is listed as LA in the score listings, think he was working at Bennetts (sp?) for a summer or two. But he was born and raised in beautiful Charlton, MA. I was in the boat for a 38 on Glen Echo. I was not sure if he ran in tourneys. @Than_Bogan for Mass 38 guys, think you can add Tim Nelson to the list. He went to college in FL, so again, score listing gives FL hometown, but almost positive he won collegiate all stars with 2@39, but born and raised on So. Charlton Res.
  9. @Edbrazil How do you get to those archived scores on usawaterski site? I thought there used to be a link to past year nationals, but then it went away. Also, being from Central MA I always wanted to make it down to the Pro Tour stop when in Hartford, please elaborate on "botched abortion" Sorry to go off topic. To echo @klindy "rythmic violence", I recall being 15 and being in the boat and watch our local stud run 38/58. While I should have been maybe trying to pick up on some form and timing, I was too taken aback by the speed and how far up on the boat he was.
  10. I just got the white cuff also and have the 500 release. It feels like there is slightly more tension as compared to my 2 year old black cuff which had considerable wear under the U, but nothing that effects release in a fall or when pulling ski off when done skiing. However, if when engaging the release on the back deck, if I do not flex my ankle forward, the release will catch a small portion of the nylon strap. It will still close with force and in error I skied with it this way. Trying to get ski off in the water was much different and required lots of force vs. my black cuff or how the white cuff should be.
  11. @slalomkenny why did you 86 the FM Quattro's?
  12. If strada comfortable for you, stick a few sets with it before switching, going to be different. You are not going to get much more if any heel anchor with R style I would think. I had stradas, went to FM E's, then reflex with r style, I didn't get up out of the water my first try. No OTF's, but took a little time. I keep the R type buckles as loose as possible, I have the silver boot liner which takes up volume. I have run the buckles on the tighter side, for me there is a solid potential for pain upon certain release.
  13. @Gloersen Thank you for the brake and release recommendations. Also for foam on the heal block idea, wish I had some of that sooner. White cuff boot on order, thanks to Brian at h2oproshop for hunting one down. @larrynipon thought there was a thread a few years back of guys wearing soccer shin guards on their rear leg, cause the release mech will bite too. All part of the fun.
  14. @Gloerson I am currently running black cuff, love the system. Yeaterday had a freak OTF similar to what you described, going to switch to brake or white cuff. It appears the brake is adjustable, did you just get in water to test proper tension for release engagement? Thank you.
  15. Of the Goode's are they Nano's/mids/9800s?
  16. Been a big fan of Muscle Milk Powder for a couple of years. I usually mix with my oatmeal and fruit, but tastes great with just milk. It is dairy free, low in sugar, and cholesterol If you are in a jam, not bad with just water either. If just mixing with milk/water, a spoon will suffice, no need for a blender. Vanilla is my go to, but chocolate and banana are both great. MM not only tastes great, it is easy on the stomach. I recall years of trying to stomach down Hot Stuff, not only a brutal to stomach down, took an industrial blender to mix, and went through me so quick I was never sure if I retained any benefits from it. Personally I echo @johncox I would rather stick to meats and fish for protein also, but in terms of preparation time and convenience, MM works great for recovery/meal replacement for me, also for diet reasons, I know exactly how much (protein, fat, cals) I am putting into my body. @razorskier1 hit it on the head regarding the convenience in a time constrained world. Work, wife, kids, gym, bike, oh yeah I want to ski too. I would love to hear what @SoCalWaterSki (or another triathlete) eats based on his crazy miles on the bike, feet, and water and then has strength/energy to ball. @Than_Brogan whether or not it "works" is debatable, FDA won't even stamp any of the aforementioned products. What I interpret as "working" is that I am able to use the powder as a supplement to my diet and I have consistently gotten stronger and increased endurance, but only when I have put the time in at the gym.
