  1. Is the fin in the same place it was at the end of last season? Always a good idea to check that
  2. @Horton I ski at Leon’s lake, it’s short but not uncomftably short... Our lake has a Centurion (5.7), 196 (5.7), and 2 200’s, one with a 5.7 one with a 5.3, none of these boats have any issue ever getting to 36 well before the 55’s. That said, the prostar was the only boat at our tournament this weekend, the more I’m around that boat the more impressed I am
  3. Personally I don’t think I know anyone with a ski boat who takes a boat to a dealer for an oil change... it’s too simple to pay a dealer to do it
  4. 2 engines= twice the gas. I skied behind outboards for years, they don’t compare to an inboard. If I was just open water skiing or not cutting the rope, outboard would be fine. But even a 20 year old Nautique is light years ahead, in terms of what a serious slalom skier, wants in a boat. We had a 250 HP engine on an outboard, I’m not quite sure I believe that an outboard with similar HP rating is “way stronger” than the inboard. Could be wrong but I have tried to ski behind a center console fishing boat, with a strong outboard on it (not sure on HP rating) and I could instantly tell how much harder it was to get up behind. It could have been bc of the “pylon” being one of those that you hook on to each of the tie down hooks and it comes around the engine and sits near the water. Personally I would never go back to skiing an outboard
  5. I know some skiers in the Orlando area... They pretty much all say Orlando gets too cold in winter to ski unless you enjoy 50-55 degree water temp
  6. @JoelHowley what does “less pre turn” mean? Does that mean it doesn’t get as wide coming into the ball?
  7. What Differences will someone notice between a softer ski and a stiffer ski? Assume it’s the same ski, one is considerably more stiff than the other, what will the ski do different?
  8. “If you don’t look at the buoy how will you know when it’s time to pull to the next one”
  9. @Wish I believe he is on Fogmans
  10. Was getting gas the other day at a Marathon and saw this above the pump... pretty cool
  11. What randomness is there really? Look at all the athletes who won. Manon, Nate, Freddy... Not exactly strangers to a podium
  12. @DynaSkiPete when you’re talking about holding speed, I’m curious how exact it holds speed. For most people holding within +\- 1mph or so is probably pretty good, but I’m probably gonna assume it’s nothing close to Zero Off which would be a deal breaker for most tournament skiers
  13. I’m not sure how no one has mentioned WPB
  14. When I was on the VTR I thought it was very sensitive to set up. If I had that thing dialed in it was amazing. Ran a 3 buoy PB on it. Fast across the wake, tip stayed down in the turn, carried ample speed through the turn into the buoy. When it wasn’t set up it was a bull to ride. It does not like it when you ride the tail at all. That said I tried a vapor at nationals last year. It was fine, nothing special I didn’t think. Not as fast as the VTR in my opinion and I didn’t trust it coming into the ball it just didn’t feel stable
  15. We have a 2012 Centurion and a 1998 Nautique. The Nautique stays on a lift on a public lake where you can’t help but get the carpet wet, I have never noticed mildew but it is frustrating getting in the boat and having the carpet still wet from the last time the boat got used. Now, we keep the centurion in a shed with a fan, so nothing is ever wet in the boat, but if anything was ever wet you just take a towel and dry it off... couldn’t be any easier
  16. Wake Tracking Consistent speed control I know you said assume smart tow works- but it’s so important to me I couldn’t leave it off this list. If it holds speed like Zbox or StarGazer it’s not even worth skiing behind to me
  17. I had play with it once.. about 6 prereleases later we found out the plate was too big. Are you sure they sent you the correct size boot? If there is wiggle room I would not put that ski on from personal experience
  18. I do not care what anyone says. That wake looks identical to a 200
  19. The pictures also don’t do it justce this is one of the best looking 200s I’ve ever seen
  20. I have skied and driven this boat a few times and it is a great boat
  21. @DynaSkiPete keep up with new hulls, new speed control, etc. everyone wants to ski behind the same boat in tournaments as in practice.
  22. Not super short line but 35 off is as far as I’ve skied a pro star and I did not notice a trough on it
