  1. @ALPJr there is always a wealth of information on the usawaterski web site. Under the events and registration tab you will find the major events calendar. It will list the bigger events and location. In some cases years in advance
  2. A key point here is that even with the slower boat speed, we are still talking about very short rope. My guess is that with the larger ski needed for the slower boat speed, at -38 (even if at only 30mph) off you still need the wing to help slow the ski into the turn. Smaller angle and smaller size makes sense in the case of @dbutcher
  3. @Jody_Seal what is the level 10 and how is it applied
  4. @JeffSurdej now you still need to get both round scores for Marie Alexandra to post. Can you tell she is one of my picks??? I need all the help I can get. Getting schooled
  5. @JeffSurdej the second Rd score for Kelly Breeden counting twice. The second Rd score for Marie Alejandra de Osman is not counting at all. Hope you ski well today. Looks like you have a full day ahead.
  6. Interesting to see the dock during the sun delay. J T was down pleading his case. They should have not granted the earlier reride. You knew as soon as they did, it would open the door for the rest.
  7. @LeonL a switch rope is nothing more than removing the last .75 meter segment of the rope and putting it attached to the pylon. No special order needed. You will gain the advantage of the length of the carbiner (maybe 2 inches) See @Horton comment above.
  8. @Justin 3rd slalom are the most popular format in most parts of the country. We usually have between 30 -35 skiers. It is definitely a FULL day and MUST be run VERY efficiently to get it done in a single day.
  9. @tru-jack we had a 5.7 in a 2014 200 and also a 5.3 in a 2016 200. The 5.3 is a MUCH better option. Better on short set up and a MUCH improved jump boat.
  10. @skihard there are no guarantees that when a house that lists for sale in a ski community, gets purchased by a skier. The last four houses that sold in our community, were bought by non skiers. It would help if when properties were listed, they were targeted to the ski community. Realtors and owners don't do that. They usually just want a buyer. The ratio of skiers to non skiers in our community has slowly shifted in favor on non skiers. We are fortunate that the non skiers still support our passion.
  11. I once heard Ken White ask a skier if he ever considered playing golf.

  14. If I remember correctly, she was on the Monte Carlo just a short time prior to the radar deal. 1 year deal and done??? Next year HO, D3, Goode, is it a search for the best ski or the best deal???? Follow the money??? Is brand loyalty dead. I respect the skier who remains with a company long term. I guess the same can be said for the company that supports the skier long term also. It has to go both ways.
  15. @MuskokaKy the new boat is considered the 2019 model year. The 2018 model year is what was released and sold after last year nationals. A lot of the promos this year will still be 2018 year boats. Production of the 2019 model appears to be somewhat limited and most won't get the new one. I know our local promo got a 2018 boat for this year. I guess the new boat is really a 2018 and a half.
  16. @DynaSkiPete we dont allow multiple tow boats (or jet skis) pulling tubes at a time.
  17. @Bruce_Butterfield will you help me dig the hole??
  18. How do most private sites deal with the liability of non ski related lake use? Do you allow owners to pull tubes? (probably the most dangerous) We have a community boat, but owners also have other options to tow tubers. (personal jet skis) Lake is large enough, but you do have to pay attention at the ends that you don't throw someone up on shore. Some owners are afraid that they may face a law suit, even if they are not in any way involved with the activity. Thanks
  19. @Ilivetoski If I am not mistaken, the base model will be the old 6L. The 5.3L direct inject and the 6.2L direct inject wil be upgrades.
  20. I might be completly in left field... But it sounds like maybe the tabs extend at varying depths depending on both the speed and line length. Kind of makes sense if that is the case. They might be designed to do different things for a B1 at 30 mph -35 off vs a OM at 36 mph and -35 off. Both skiers at 35 off but wakes are very different. Just a thought.
  21. @brooks I assume the passenger side graphics will be replaced first??
  22. @Kelvin is the man. Any chance we can get you up to DFW area if @Jdubs does not get a new model???
  23. @LeonL For this year (2018) ski season, nautique can use the 2017 and 2018 year boats. This new model most likely wont pull many tournaments outside Orlando or the bigger events till AFTER this years nationals. Note it is a 2019 model year.
  24. @disland noticed that also. On the Nautique home page, this is the only option. Not sure I am crazy about the looks. 98 inch beam. My guess is that you might not get it past the cables on some existing lifts.
