  1. We have both a 2014 & 2017 200. The 5.7 was ok at 34 mph. It struggled to get up to speed at the 55's at 36 on a 2200 foot lake. The 5.7 really was lacking for longer jumpers. (160 plus) The H5 is MUCH improved. Plenty of power at 36 and jumpers up to at least 190's We have not had any experience with the ZR4 ( I think they used to call it ZR6) I would go with at least the H5. If funds are not a concern..... the H6 would be awesome. Get the H5 over the ZR4
  2. @JeffSurdej. Jacinta 52 points in jump??
  3. For the first time, a mistake would have worked out in my favor, and it gets caught. Typical.
  4. @KRoundy with the new promos going back to the dealers, you won't be buying from the promo team owner. This concept was tried in the past many years ago. Most of the dealers did not want to have to put them into their inventories then. Time will tell how long this new strategy will last. I am fairly certain you can buy from the dealer.
  5. I think the best person to answer this is @Kelvin . He does a great job on collegiate and other pro events. My guess us that the amount of work and the number of people required far exceeds any of our expectations.
  6. In @aupatking defense, if it is boat under warranty, the first stop should be the dealer that sold the boat. As the systems and touch screens get older, I think this will become a bigger problem. Faulty screens that are expensive to replace that wont allow the speed control system to function. I know some pretty good drivers that used to be able to hand drive.......
  7. @Jody_Seal I love it. I have to deal with this same type of thing everyday. I feel like the old Motorcraft guy. "Pay me now or pay me later"
  8. @sunperch It sounds llike the thing to do..... is to learn to trick and jump. Then you get more rides at nationals for less money.
  9. @theboardingschool the beer and party stuff all sounds fun. Until, someone gets hurt, and you are facing a lawsuit. Unfortunately, that is the enviroment we live in. It won't have to be much more serious than a sprained ankle. Now tell me how you have everyone sign a waiver. A good attorney will make your waiver not worth the paper it was printed on. Negligence is easy to prove, and alcohal makes it REAL easy. Love the concept, but it would scare the crap out of me if I was hosting it.
  10. @dbutcher I think it was confirmed several weeks ago that the 200 would stay unchanged for 2018. Maybe 2019 for the anticipated 200r
  11. @"Mateo Vargas" I don't see why not. Several skiers take on line classes. I think your comment was meant as a joke. But sadly, it is a fact.
  12. It sounds like in @brettmainer case there were 4 nautique boats within 1 hour. It might make sense to move those resources to a under served area. @ski6jones says he has not had a nautique tournament round in the Houston area in several years. This might allow a boat into that area. They have tournaments every week in Houston with many different sites. As the sport evolves resources might need to be reallocated. How many boats in the Orlando area? With all the sponsored skier you have to believe there are plenty of boats to cover the needs. @Bruce_Butterfield . Lol Thanks for the support. See you soon. Fyi someone did tell me today that it looked like I have lost a few pounds.
  13. @Horton @dave2ball @brettmainer. My intent was not to insult anyone. You are right. I have no direct knowledge of what criteria was used to determine which promo owners were released. Based on several statements made here. It sounds like nautiqe pulled 80 percent of sanctioned events. It was also stated that the same percentage should be able to be maintained in the future. Maybe some areas were saturated with more boats than needed. @BigSpray having hosted tournaments for over 30 years I have witnessed the the promo programs first hand. Not all promo owners have the same level of commitment. Some go above and beyond. Boats are set up ready to go when they get to the site. Others not so much. That being said. Most of the long time promos are committed
  14. My guess is that the promo guys will love that. The dealers will most likely hate it. I think that they tried that about 12/15 years ago without much success. @Wish. The promo guys will get use of the boat at a reduced cost. Discounted or waived tournament entry fees. If you talk to most promo owners the biggest down side of the promo is dealing with the sale of the boat each year. If it goes back to the dealer..... that issue is gone. Some dealers might think that the promo guys are selling the boats at a discounted price that hurts them and drives costs down. That might be a problem if a bunch of boats are in the program. I would be surprised if any one dealer will have more than one returned promo boat. It sounds like what nautique did, was to remove promo owners that maybe were underperformers. Kind of like getting fired from a job that you are not doing.
  15. We are very lucky. We have 3 of the big 4 local. There has not been a MC in the area in at least 6 years.
  16. Welcome to the site @Mooseguts . that question is like asking how much for a new car?. The range is huge depending on several things. The first is what size is the steel. You can find the weight of 20 foot length of angle iron on line with google search. Next is the thickness of the deck under the mastercraft surface. Good luck
  17. @SKI_TG you need to increase the price on your trick skis too. The smaller sizes are hard to find. If not now.... They will sell easily in the spring for at least 100 more.
  18. @lpskier I had a pair of 80's many years ago. We used the same numbers as 80 inch D3. Worked great for my son. My guess is 29.25 would be a good start point. They were a little heavier than the newer skis but were bullet proof. I think he went over 140 on them before going up to 86 inch
  19. @JeffSurdej looks like some skiers scores are posting several times per round. Sure would be great if we knew when skiers scratch. Second time I drafted skier that was a no show. UGH. Just for fun but when side bets are involved..... It sucks to draft and not get results.
  20. 3 and a half mins I won't get back. Any grass I can watch grow or paint I can watch dry??
  21. @Johnbrannan. Both our 14 and 16 had the cable in the bilge area. You for sure will need to dig for them in front of the pylon.
  22. @harddock @Nando . I think I heard it was Rickey Mccormick
  23. @JeffSurdej looks like Morgan second round jump score did not get added to totals. Might be a bug.
  24. @JeffSurdej yep I was doing great till nick did not jump. Ugh. It is just a game.
  25. Most of you are about my same age. (turned 59) No meniscus left. Both knees need to be done. Have been getting injections with limited results for the last 18 months. My ortho says he wants to wait since the replacements have a limited life, and wear out. He says 10-15 years. I am a big guy so closer to 10. Did any of you get the same info? Quality of life has gone way down. Walking is a chore and constant pain. Going up and down stairs need handrail support. Even up and down slight inclines are tough. Anybody look at stem cell???
