  1. @Bruce_Butterfield your daughter probably had a better trick coach when she was 10 than you did. See you soon
  2. I lead for the biggest part of the year last year. A major player scratched in slalom last year at collegiate nationals and a bad pick in slalom at the last tournament of the year cost me the title. AND 1,000.00 dollars. Congrats to pcphillips. Also beat @Horton last year at moomba. I will send him my address for shipping.
  3. @nikandsteve he is very knowledgeable, and I know it is a college crowd on site.....but for a webcast he might want to clean it up a little. In a more professional environment some of his comments cross the line . especially in today's #me too climate
  4. Saw a post that Cory place is fine. Others not so much. Prayers to @Jody_Seal they have work ahead for them
  5. @killer @tel was talking ZO. You mention PP.
  6. @tel. That technique is used for jump. I have not heard that recommended for slalom
  7. My guess is that the path was not nearly as bad as the video of the boat that wrapped a cable around the prop. I hope that driver was ok. It look brutal
  8. @skierjp I completley agree with you that they did a GREAT job with the FUNCTIONAL features of the boat. I withheld my opinion till I had a chance to see one up close and personal. At nationals, I had that chance. My initial thoughts were confirmed. To quote another skier I was having a conversation with. "When that boat is coming toward you, it has a face only a mother can love" I was eating lunch, and choked on my food laughing so hard. I did get to ride in it pulling pin for several trickers. The interior was very well laid out and the functional features looked spot on. Props for that. The exterior not so much. Having a 200 now, and at least eight other Nautiques, not sure we will ever see one of these in our boat house. Even with the best features, I can't get past the looks. I keep seeing that face.
  9. The person in charge of the design of the exterior of this boat should never be allowed to lead another project again. Shame on correct craft.
  10. @nikandsteve Did you look at pink sheets? If anything maybe OVER rotated past 90 deg.??? Dang soviet judges.
  11. Can someone explain in english the clarification that was posted on the USAWATERSKI website. It was really a cluster at this years Nationals with the addition of the Cup. My understanding of the old rule was. Level 10 Overall skied Open in all three events AND Open Overall. You did not ski in any events in your age division. (this did not apply to any of the juniors) Level 9 Overall. Allowed you to ski Open in the events that you held a Open rating in. (1 or 2 events) You skied in Open for placement in only the events you held ratings in. THEN you could ski in all three events in age division. BUT you could only place in Overall, and any events that you did not ski for placement in Open. EXAMPLE: W1 Level 9 Overall with a Level 9 rating in slalom and jump, but level 6 in trick. Could ski 5 times at Nationals. Once each in Open slalom and jump for placement based on L9 in each event. AND in each event in age division for placement only in trick and overall. This was in place in 2017 nationals. Not many understood the rule and not too many used it. This year with the addition of the Cup, they sent a e-mail that said L9 can ski in Open for NON-placement in Open but to qualify for the cup. They left it up to the skier if it was for placement. This caused all sorts of confussion. In one case, a L10 overall skier was in age division sking for placement in several events???? This should have not happened. I AM SO CONFUSSED.
  12. I might be mistaken but that looks very similar to a boat that was for sale several years ago out of the Orlando area. At that time it had a crazy number of hours. If I remember over 2500.
  13. @JeffSurdej players who picked Brittany in tricks, are getting addtional points for her first round score. They are gettin a prelim score of 4200 which is correct. They are also getting credit for a addtional score of 4070. She did not advance into the finals. They are getting a addtional 81.4 FWS points.
  14. All of open???? Like starting with ow and om. Trick on Thursday late afternoon??? Or just slalom and jump
  15. Too much throttle and overshoot the set point too much, and this can be done with just about any boat. Sounds like the driver was not dialed in. Enough throttle needed to get to speed. Let the system engage, then throttle down. Knowing what it takes to get to set point is key. Throttle ALL the way to the floor at start with the bigger motors might be too much on the shorter lakes. I know you want to get to speed as quick as you can, be then you need to slow down. I am a big guy. It used to drive me crazy when people who did not pull me frequently would drive for me. Pull out for the gates and the boat is accelerating past 34 to about 38/40. Turn in for the gates with a slack line and the boat decelerating to 34. 16.95 every pass. UGH. I can't count how many tournament passes I had like that.
  16. @JeffSurdej how are overall points awarded or valued???
  17. @Edbrazil that is correct. Glad he was not on my fantasy team
  18. I have been looking for results also. I think they were the only region without "live scoring" and I underestand that internet service might be a issue....... but I think they finished on Saturday. "West Coast Best Coast" whatever LOL
  19. @MS if done correctly, the event judges are only supposed to see one replay in real time. In some of the higher trick runs that can be very difficult and can be over turned. I am not sure what the protocol is for the record approval process. @klindy ???
  20. I am not sure I would score either one for credit. Maybe I have some Russian in my ancestry. The second one is closer but even that one is sketchy.
  21. @thager and....... Cale is a pretty decent overall skier
  22. @UWSkier cc is not saddling the promo crew with boats. The boats are going back to the dealers. This was done by cc several years ago and only lasted a short time. We will see how it works this time around
  23. @Horton I am sure you can find someone to sell back to you for what you charged originally
  24. @escmanaze when they start to malfunction in a few years, and they are out of warranty. ..... we will see how much people are attached to them. We had a 200 with the zero off round display. We had to replace it. Also had to replace a 200 with the linc system that malfunctioned. Another post here has a boat down with a zero off issue. Wait, the time will come soon with a bunch of high dollar boats needing 3500 displays replaced to use speed control. And you all thought hand driving was a lost art.
