  1. @ScarletArrow I would not go any larger than 72. Buy used if you can find them. The resale value should hold up if you don't abuse them. Jumpers just starting should not be on skis bigger than 72.
  2. @david_quail That part is 3D printed. There is another thread dedicated to this problem.
  3. Trick records are some of the most difficult to get approved. Hope. He bumps it up.
  4. I have seen video on Facebook. Looks like a pretty good head wind. Great height off the ramp
  5. And that is how you edge thru the air.
  6. @Horton the info is available if you know where to look for it. On the usawaterski website there is a tab on the left for "events and registration" under that tab is a "master calander" it list dates and location for big events. In some cases several years out. It might not be easy......but it is there.
  7. @Live2ski I agree and don't know the answer. See @Horton post above. I do believe that the resale value of the boats from the last few years will take a huge hit. Keep in mind that well before your time, (early 80's to early 90's) Supreme had very good name recognition.
  8. What if the price goes down by transferring some of the components from the other models that exist now in the Supreme line? What would be a good price point for a REAL BARE BONES boat with shared components? We all complain about the cost of the big three, but at the same time, complain about the cheap looking interiors of the other options. We cant have it both ways.
  9. Heard it will be branded as a Supreme. Open Bow.
  10. @aupatking The cost of molds for injection molded parts are VERY expensive for low volume parts. In this case, they might have several sizes. (S. M. L.) Each size would require a mold. There are several new materials that can be 3D printed. They might need to look at another material option. It also looks like the layers are pretty thick. That is a sign of a inexpensive machine used to print it. The design with the thru hole in the middle is also a problem. They might want to look at the part design. In my mind a combination of poor material selection, poor part design, and poor choice of printer selection, results in poor performance. 3D printer range in price from a few thousand to several hundred thousand dollars. This looks like it was printed on a very inexpensive printer. I have experience with 3D printed parts for more than 18 years and injection molds for more than 40 years
  11. @Kelvin and @dave2ball Yes we have had that happen. Measure and use in a tournament. After the event, put that rope away to be used at the next event in a month. Pull it out, and a quick check, it is out short. Soak it in water for half a day, and good as new.
  12. @sunvalleylaw I agree with @Horton unless you are hosting a tournament. 95% of skiers at line length longer than 35 off will never know plus or minus a few inches. NOW, if you are hosting a class ELR tournament, you can bet that they are measured prior to the event. Hosting for over 30 years we have seen the full range from very close to actual, to WOW!!! I think worst case was about eight inches short. I dont reacall a new rope being long. I guess short is more common to save the cost of the rope????? I am also a firm believer that they need to be streatched before a tournament. I know the trend is that you should not have to............ but when we don't.... and pull a tournament we hear. "that rope felt stretchy" They will get better as the day progresses. By round two they are good.
  13. As a parent with a child that played many sports at a high level, it got to the point that they are meaningless. Basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, and skiing. Few for participation, some for championships. Over the years, it got to the point that the important ones had no value. Regional and national medals left in the bottom of ski bags. Never removed or displayed because there were so many other ones. Really sad. I have several huge boxes of them in the attic. You hope some day they will want the important ones, but know that national medals will end up in the trash. I remember many many years ago at a regional. A very high level boys3 skier that had just won overall with a big trophy. As he was walking back to the parking lot with it, a vendor commented about it. The kid stopped and said "I will trade it to you for a snow cone" not believing what I heard, I watched as the vendor gave the kid a snow cone in trade. The kid walked to his parents car with only the snow cone. I did not stay around to hear what the conversation was after that. Lets give meaningful awards and not just awards
  14. @Razorskier1 web cast feed has been rock solid for me. NO delays or stream issues.
  15. @chef23 Pretty sure Tyler Boyd and the "kid with the golden mic" do the entire waterski part. Tyler is a accomplished three event skier. He usually uses the correct terms. The "other guy" not so much.
  16. @disland thanks for that info. I was thinking it was just a problem on my end.
  17. @BRY & @jcmccavit When you measure for the blades, make sure that the prop shaft is rotated so that the blade is down. This is more important on a three blade prop.
  18. @eleeski I think there might be a new resident to the San Diego area that might get excited about that.
  19. It will be very interesting to see how many of the 50 Radar/BOS skiers DONOT attend nationals now. @Horton will know that number.
  20. @andre the 5.3 is much better than the 5.7
