  1. @MattP what would you say if he dropped down to ski regional and nationals in age division??? Is that ok??
  2. You can tell a lot about the character of the skier who skis ALL year as a OM/MM skier, then drops down to age group for regional and nationals. Once you qualify for OM/MM go play with the big boys. I would like to see maybe a option that would reduce entry fees to OM/MM skiers to entice them to ski there. That might add additional skiers that are on the fence to participate. Look at M1/M2 overall at Nationals this year. Storm, Dylan, John Lex, Cole, Sam (if he skis) etc etc… all should be in OM overall at Nationals. Congrats to Nick for stepping up. Awesome. For a few years there was some peer pressure to ski OM. This year it looks like they all dropped down to age group. (my son included who had lost his open rating for awhile)
  3. @harddock That is called "texas style jump" and it was allowed for many jears. I am sure @Edbrazil can give you details.
  4. @MillerTime38. Glad to see you found a way back on the water.
  5. Back in the day, they used them to pull jump at some of the Pro stops.
  6. I saw a video clip of him giving salsa dance lessons to Mike Morgan in a parking lot.
  7. @dchristman All the tournaments that I have attended the last five years, I have been more likely to find a reliable rope release person much sooner than anyone with experience with a Robins release.
  8. @eleeski . you can call it what you want. The problem is when the scorer enters it into the program. It does not recognize the old code. It needs fflo or ffli (we ran into this last weekend at our tournament)
  9. In 1980 my dealer (pine lake in Michigan) made a special trip to the master craft faculties in tenn to pick up my new boat. About 50 miles from home the boat got launched off the trailer and the nose went thru the rear window of the pickup and hit the driver in the back of the head. He spent several days in the hospital. Factory had to build a new boat for me. Took about three weeks out of the already short Michigan summer.
  10. @klindy. @KJackfrost . How does this score if the first is done outside the line and the reverse inside? First scores 800 andtge reverse 0 or 700?
  11. I have used two different cable adapters and two different switches. Both of which work fine in other boats. We still can't get the $$$ signs to go away even without any switch or cable attached to the unit. No way to change the power factor at all.
  12. @Kelvin Display still has the $$$ even when no switch is connected.
  13. @dbutcher . Yes slalom and trick work fine. I think it means that the new boat we get next week needs to stay on the jump lake and the old boat can pull slalom all day long. I am sure Neil will find the solution. Missed you today for our tournament. See you soon.
  14. Pretty sure it is not switch or cable related.
  15. @Jody_Seal 2014 SN200 with the round zero off display (not the Linksys) When pulling a jumper the switch is not engaging at the 600 foot ball. It does come in HARD about 15 feet BEFORE the jumper is turning into the ramp. Remapped the course (twice) Two differant switches and two differant cables all with the same results. On the display where the power factor should be it displays "$$$" NO numbers. Anybody seen this or know what to do???
  16. Tyler is a very accomplished trick skier (over 6,000 points) and knows the proper terminology. The problem is the guy with the gold colored mic.
  17. @6balls I do not know the boat or owner. It is at Buxton Marine. They are a nautique dealer. More picture are posted on the buxtonmarine web site. They are a solid dealership. I think @swc5150 purchased a boat fdrom them also.

    5.3 or 5.7

@dbutcher I thought the same thing about the 5.7 this year also. I was wrong. They are still offering the 5.7. In fact our local dealer has one. I am not sure if it was a early model year build boat or if they had concerns of market acceptance of the 5.3. I am getting resistance from other owners on the 5.3. My choice is the 6.2 but the upgrade cost make that unattainable.

    5.3 or 5.7

Anyone know for sure what nautique is telling the promo owners to get?? 5.7 5.3 or 6.2. Due to cost i can't imagine the 6.2 so.... I guess 5.3???

    5.3 or 5.7

@ob1 The power options are 5.3L 355HP 5.7L 343HP 6.2L 450HP The upgrade charge is 10K increase to go from the 5.7 to the 6.2 The other problem is that this is a community boat and I can't get the rest of the slalom gods to step up to the 6.2L. They are all 34mph skiers and don't see the need. I have looked long and hard for a 2015 promo with a 6L. There is a pretty big increase to go to the 5.3.

    5.3 or 5.7

We are about to purchase a new 200. What are people seeing with the new 5.3? Concerns are with the new 5.3 power plant and long term reliability. I always worry about the first year of a new set up about getting all the bugs worked out (2014 mastercraft) We currently have a 5.7 in a 200 that struggles a little at 36 on a short set up. Will also be pulling a 180+ foot jumper. Would love to go to the 6.2 but the cost to upgrade is $$$ %#@!@#$
  22. @jdarwin they have used it at the can am challenge in Illinois for many years. Dave Clarke was always there to set it up. It always worked great but is not a system that you would move between boats. They used a single boat for the entire tournament. Set up looked to be pretty time consuming with a ton of trial and error during practice the day before. I will look thru some pics to see if I have any decent photos. If I can find anything I will forward them to you.
  23. We have sold three nautiques 196 in the past on ebay. It has been several years. One buyer traveled from Alberta Canada to Texas to purchase. All transactions went fine and we sold them all for what we wanted out of them. It did take some time to get a buyer, but we usually sell in the off season.
