  1. @Moffattra which engine are you partial to? Why would one be a deal breaker? This has the 350 magnum 315 Hp Scorpion engine
  2. @DW thanks so much. Forgive me but what do you mean by HDS box?
  3. Thanks! I find the seats in the response's to be really low too so it's probably similar. I appreciate your thoughts on the wake, that's just what I'm looking for!
  4. Looking at a 97 Echelon LX. Curious on thoughts and opinions. I know it doesn't have the diamond hull but that's not a deal breaker for the price and location of the boat. Going to look this weekend. Anything in particular (specific to those boats) we should be looking for other than the obvious?
  5. Selling a 1997 MB Sports Boss 200LS with low hours and in good condition. You can see more info at the following link. Located in NB. Could probably arrange delivery in the Maritimes. Please view this ad: 1997 MB Sports Boss 200LS, https://www.kijiji.ca/v-powerboat-motorboat/saint-john/1997-mb-sports-boss-200ls/1433175261?utm_source=com.google.android.apps.docs&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_android Price: $ 11,500
  6. There is a thread somewhere on here about his ski choice/sponsorship. He actually put a video out explaining that he chooses not to endorse any particular brand so that he can ski on whatever he wants (paraphrasing). I believe he was on a KD Platinum for a while last year?
  7. Possibly looking to sell my 2016 66" Lithium Vapor. In great condition. Would be looking for $500 CDN or 400. Selling blank
  8. @jercrane so the front radar binding and front holes on the RTP are all good, just the back holes on the RTP need to be modified?
  9. I'm under the understanding that a radar front boot should fit a Connelly ski but a rear boot might not? Does this hold true for a rear toe plate (on the "feather frame" plate)? Considering moving from a vapor to a GT.
  10. @DW you bring up an intriguing possibility. Bringing it as a carry on. Has anyone else has any success with this?
  11. Old thread, I know but I'm going to Florida in May and was planning on dropping the almost 300 on a sportube until I got reading this. A lot of people are suggesting the Dakine style bag. Is this the sort of thing that you guys are using? Athletico Maverick Padded Snowboard Bag 180cm (Black) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B074FV9XFX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_xegICbHQ28CPZ
  12. Help out some of the smaller provinces develop their programs. Not just focussing on the bigger provinces
  13. Thinking about making the switch from a 2016 lithium vapor to a 2017 Connelly GT. Just wondering if anyone has been on both skis and what I might notice between the two. I ski 36mph at -28 off. I have a slight tendency to be a little heavier on my back foot which I know is something I need to work on but I from what I have seen the vapors really like you to be heavy on the front foot. Thoughts?

  15. If you're looking for a good alternative to your phone as a camera, do an amazon search for action camera. There are so many good options at a fraction of the cost of a gopro. Most of them even use the same mount and accessories. Most come with a huge kit of mounts, an extra battery on some and the video quality is great! Try and find one that has image stabilization and will run at at least 60 fps at 720p, if not higher. At the price they go for, heck, you could buy 6 and strap one to each buoy!
  16. @Murrski I have a 97 MB Sports Boss 200LS and really like it. We do find the spray off the side to be a bit excessive once into 28 off with a headwind or 32 off. I was told that MB bought the old Prostar mold and that's what they were using on these boats. Not sure how true it is. Great build quality and @"76S&S" it has a GT-40 that has worked great for us, needing nothing but regular maintenance.
  17. @wart probably the wrong way to say it. I just mean, when you have the skier pull out to the driver's side to drop, make sure you counter stear a bit and then come around in front of them nice and close once they've settled into the water. This is where you start to line up for the course for your next pass where you are actually behind the skier now in your new direction.
  18. Give it a few more outings and you'll start to learn the boat. Start lining up with the course before you even drop the skier from the pass before. Meaning, make sure you're far enough from the pregates. Whip them good so that you've got all sorts of slack in the line to use up before you start dragging the skier. Make sure the skier is in position and almost ready to be pulled up before you make your last manoeuvres so you don't get blown or drift too far. You'll learn your own techniques and markers to use, just get some more time behind the wheel and you'll love it!
  19. There certainly is a grey area between "long line" (-15) and "shortline". I've always thought of shortline as -32 and up with extreme shortline at - 38. It does leave you in limbo if, like me, you're in that -22 and - 28 gap though. For that reason I really don't talk much in terms of "shortline" but rather what line length I'm skiing. The great thing about this sport is that I can be thrilled to run deep into -32 where as to one person that's an opener and to another that's simply unattainable as they're working on building their speed. Just remember, ski your best and be proud when you ski well!
  20. @ScarletArrow yeah, I don't think I'm going to point that out to my pregnant wife who's still willing to drive me! But between you and me, that's my excuse!
  21. I've bought 2 sets of buoys through @Ed_Obermeier at ez slalom and have had really good luck.
  22. Anyone have any good freeze frame shots?
  23. NFC... So like, I can connect my ski to my phone?
