  1. Hope you get a good rip in. Perfect weather here in indiana. Air 70 lake 70 no wind. Last week I skied 168 balls without a miss. Decided it must be time to speed it up.
  2. Look at the crowd. Back when men were men.... And they didn't spend all weekend watching kids play soccer
  3. I regularly ski behind a TSC 1 hull (mine) and TSC 2 hull (neighbor's). At -15 31-33 mph I cannot tell a real difference. Wake is not an issue at all with either boat. I've skied behind a 200 several times at other clubs and ski schools and the wake seems the same but the ZO takes a set or two to get used to. I don't ski tournaments yet and I prefer the feel of PP but probably just because that's what I'm used to.
  4. get your wife a Camaro wetsuit for her birthday and she'll like the cold water much more. I think when you crunch the numbers you'll find the two boat system to be more practical and cost effective than is seems at first. You can get a TSC 1 hull slalom tug on a "trial basis" for 2 yrs and sell it for about what you pay for it if the two boat system isn't working out. You'll be out a lot less than if you trade your 211 for 200 but then decide you want to go back to a surf boat.
  5. It sounds like there are lots of "off the radar" competitions occurring like the wed night "king of the lake" that we do- it would interesting to quantify how much of this is happening. Right now we just argue about whether 5 @ -15 33mph trumps 6@ -22 32 mph or not. I could see where it could be fun to standardize this and compete against other average Joe clubs.
  6. It would be interesting to run this format as an experiment to see if it gets casual skiers who prefer to shorten before their max speed involved. I know several guys who shorten before max speed who figure tournaments to be a waste for that reason.
  7. Awesome looking boat! Don't you have your own private site now? I would say put the boat on the lift and forget about the trailer color and go skiing. When you store it for the winter put some bikes around the trailer so the green won't bother you. Seriously though great looking boat.
  8. @ShaneH regarding coming off the handle too soon- when do you think is the ideal time to release the handle at 15 off?
  9. @Chef23 just described the way I ski. For me trying to think about moving the inside hip is a difficult concept to actually implement. I've found that at 15 off if I come off the handle too early (which I almost always do) then badness happens. Point #2 above seems to have a lot of promise for me.
  10. Heading up there tonight through next Wed. Anyone ski up there? Is the course in this year? I have access to a boat- just wanting to reach out to see if the course is in and reach out to whomever maintains it.
  11. I flip the battery switch under the dash on my 01 SN. I have trouble finding the thing half the time even when I'm sober. I suppose I could leave it in gear too.
  12. Camaro=awesome. Doesn't exchange enough water to wash out pee though
  13. Love mine too. I'm 5'9" 163 and Medium fits
  14. My wife (age 37) went to the derm this morning to discuss biopsy results from a spot on her back. Fortunately it was superficial basal cell ca and not amelanotic melanoma. She's great about staying in the shade and wearing sunscreen, but unfortunately when she was a child her mom was not so good about keeping her from getting burnt. She made me an appointment to get me checked as well. I've decided I'm going to do this at the end of summer every season with the goal of showing the dermatologist how not tanned I am.
  15. I agree the rules should be different for this type of event. Every other sport makes yearly rules changes based on what people want to see- and what do people want to see from these skiers? We want to see them ski into 43 off. In the finals Instead of a sudden death situation why not let both skiers ski every pass from 35 to 43 off but have buoys at successive pass count for more and more points- 1 point for each ball at -35, 2 points for-38, 3 for -39, 5 for 41, 10 for -43 or something of the sort.
  16. Wow it looks like there are an amazing number of strip mines in the area west of Peoria. You'll probably going to need to have a baller gathering when you get it completed so we can test it out.
  17. I saw options starting at $45 on his FB page.
  18. Input from an elite skier including phone call for less than the cost of a tank of gas- sounds like a bargain
  19. 01 TSC1. The boat formerly known as @Krlee boat
  20. great to see all the 15 offers coming out to play. I suspect there are a lot of us out there.
  21. @pregom the best coach for you may already in your local club. I have spent money on coaching from coaches used to coaching elite skiers, but I learned and progressed more in the few sets I've skied with @PurdueSkier than any coach I've paid for. As for the injuries- I used to be a guy that would speed the boat up every time I made a pass whether it was clean or not. Took too many hard falls doing that. Lately I've decided that I ski for exercise and fun and I like going around all 6 buoys. I also know I'm one more ankle injury away from being a surfer. So I'm willing to ski a speed until it gets so easy that I'm bored before increasing speed.
  22. I just switched from the Vice to a graphite vapor. It's way more forgiving and skis with half the effort at -15 32mph
  23. @ncskier I ski regularly behind both TSC 1 and 2 hulls and at -15 32 mph I can't tell any noticeable difference between them. I've liked my TSC 1 as well or better than the newer boats I've skied behind. It's hard to lose much money on them since they have such a loyal following.
