  1. It's important to understand what to do or try to setup to help your skill set. the GOAT told me once, "I'm going to move your back foot one hole back to make it easier for you to stay stacked through the gate." He firmly believed in making a setup that works for the individual in order to work on better skills without being punished.
  2. @wawaskr it is. refer to the goode website size chart...also don't hesitate to call them.
  3. a lot of people who tried heel lifts in the past have had knee pain from doing so. it will go away when you remove them..... food for thought.
  4. @mbabiash in Miami I train with Rocky Pasqua whom used to train, develop, and ski with Andy. PM me if you'd like the contact info.
  5. @epnault I have both my front and rear pretty much made of duct tape at this point..the wonders of duct tape...jeff keppchia in wpb is riding duct tape as well...lol
  6. @sunvalleylaw @skispray I train via email with skiers. Minimal equipment necessary. Have room for 3 more skiers this winter. Contact me if you'd like to inquire. Www.skyfitness.com.
  7. ez fin tool is great, but takes away depth measurement because of skis concave. so you have to know how much the difference is on each ski.
  8. @MickeyThompson make sure your calipers don't have a notch for length measurement..goode uses a jaws number
  9. @Horton that may be the best skiing you've ever posted..the glide difference at the top of the pullout setup the whole pass!
  10. @musclefixer GOODE has done it..powershell w reflex release..saw it at nationals
  11. @MickeyThompson if you measure from mid jaws just lower than notch, you can do it. on my calipers, it's a .050 difference tips to jaws for conversion
  12. @Dacon62 greater Miami ski club is very near south beach..30 min w traffic..and there are affordable hotels near the beach or near the ski club. if you need help with a hotel if you pick Miami, I will connect you with someone that gets the best rates.
  13. @daryl i'd like to see you get through both wakes on a cutting edge which will put you wider and earlier consistently.
  14. West end slalom in Atlanta is awesome! @OB1 @MattP ..if you're ever near you need to ski it! water is amazing, set ups short but fine and a little bumpy..more importantly it's a great place with super nice people!!!!
  15. @akale15 Miami nautique are my local dealer and are great!
  16. I've been going to tournaments from the beginning at 15off 26mph..the people are great, the encouragement is great. Everyone is there do improve their performance regardless of level. Yes, sometimes things don't go as planned, but that is competition!!! love skiing, love sport, love competition and goals?? tournaments are fun..all what you make of it.
  17. , get nu skin from drug store..for skiing use duct tape over the top of it w a fold so adhesive doesn't stick to open skin..creat a wrist anchor point w the tape as well for extra support! may still be tender but you'll be able to ski.
  18. @Booze tinkering is fun! as long as you enjoy it it's fantastic!! if you get upset about not skiing well..then that's a problem. but happy is happy and we ski to be happy !!!!
  19. @skinut to me it looks like you pressed the tip down by overrotating/falling hard to the inside with the upper body which caused the tip stick/tail blow..probably good it released there..personally id make it tighter by a couple turns..in slow mo didn't see any rollers
  20. @RAWSki it'll release if necessary..at first keep the top buckle a little less than snug. You'll get a lot more input to the ski going to reflex. As you get used to additional edge control you should be able to tighten up the top buckle. should be 2 sets or less. hardest part is the initial trust of the change.
  21. @dhofert also consider time of year. spring can be cold in north florida. Miami ski club has great coaching, hotels very near by..south beach 20 min away..etc..yes I love Miami!!
