I fit into a lot of items being discussed on this thread. I have a 21 Prostar, ski on a public lake and am not a member of any club or association. I purchased my own ski course for our lake and have a great group of skiers that connect on the weekends when we are at the lake. I also have a surf boat (dont hate), as my kids were spending all their time with other families on their boats. IMO I did this to spend more time with my kids and can have them bring their friends. There are ways to use a surf boat to limit the annoyance to others on the lake and the beaches, but most of the owners of these barges are uneducated or just assholes. The next hated issue is seadoo's and jet ski's. We have 2 of each and my daughter and friends love these (I hate them). This keeps my teenage daughter coming to the lake and getting outside and enjoying the water rather than sitting inside on social media. Sorry I went off topic on the ski boat issue, but my point is that regular casual skiers still purchase new ski boats (me) and that an educated person on the water makes the difference not just the watercraft (barge or seadoo) that they are using.

Need some Ski Early Ski Often premium shirts in another color other than white. These new designs look great.

I use whips on my prostar. Hook one whip to each cleat and then tie of the bow and stearn with a little slack to keep the boat from twisting too much.

One of my ski partners wears prescription glasses when he skis. He said its fine, but make sure he has a good float on them just in case.

I have a guy that walks down onto his dock to be picked up and doesnt bring his ski. Then runs back to his cabin to grab it. This happens every damn time. I have left him there and commented that I didnt think he wanted to ski as he didnt have his ski with him. Then the very next day, it was the same thing!

That is exactly what the ballast tank is for. It will offset the weight of the driver when you do not have a spotter in the boat.

@6balls , I have been checking out the offcourse solution and may end up going that route. It would definitely make set up a lot easier. I'm afraid I would miss having the actual course though, so I have been on the fence.

I drop one in our public lake here in Canada. It has never been an issue, but you will find you are constantly replacing balls and for some reason a ski course seems to attract morning fishermen.

I saw that same boat listed last year. There may be something fishy with that one.

@6balls, I just sent this thread to a buddy of mine that has been on the look out for a good used ski boat. This would be perfect for him!

Love it! I have a high ceiling but can use my lift to get the bow cover up high enough to mount. I am so using this idea!

Definitely just a matter of preference. I had teak on my last boat and ordered my new boat with teak as well. I run a ski boat and a boat for surfing and have teak on both.

Broken ski = SHOT SKI!!

Hit the mountains on the sled and wish I lived south so I could be behind the boat.

That would be the only boat I would consider hull paint for. WTH was the guy thinking when designing! Other than the green, its a pretty good looking boat.

@SteveB , I love the color choice. I matched my engine cover to the interior gel and personally love the look. Try it on the boat builder if you havent already.

I used to have a MC 214. The wake isnt comparable to a tournament boat, but it is a great boat and has a lot of room for a direct drive. I'm currently searching for one for my brother.
