I'm in the "same boat" as @jpwhit. The best of both worlds requires two boats. I run a 2021 Prostar for my use and a 2014 X2 for the kids to surf. If I was only to run one boat I would look at the Nautique GS, Mastercraft XT or the Malibu VTX. You will be sacrificing the ski wake on any crossover though.

I'm on my second pair and can tell you that you will not be wasting your $90. They are great gloves. I would send you my old ones if I still had them, but they were XXL anyways.

I have broken two bungee locks this year. Both times the little handle on the gear breaks off. I now have two spare lace sets (broke one on my last vapor) without locks.

@swb911 , I do remember that Teamtalk post. I do like the black Mastercraft lettering that you have on your build. The polished silver lettering does not show up well in certain light on the gunmetal flake. There was nothing else that I would change though.

I skied a 92 Pro Comp last week. There is a noticeable rooster at 22 off, but I still enjoyed the ski behind it. If the boat is in good shape and a good deal, I would buy it.

Unfortunately Stokes doesn't have a lot of sizing options available currently

I believe it cost me around $120 to get my wife's ski shipped. Unless its a deal on a used ski, it's almost a wash and you're better to support your local shop so theyre around when you need them.

S1Pitts, I feel your pain. I grew up in BC and resented the Albertans due to the few that had no respect. However, now being an Alberta resident myself and having a lake house in BC, I've come to realize the registration on your boat and the place you reside doesn't make you any smarter. The BC barges are messing things up as much as the Alberta barges. I just have to get up earlier to get my water! :)

My brother has a campion 535 (18 foot bowrider). Its definitely not a ski boat, but I would say its not bad to ski behind.

Purchased a new senate for my son, but I'll be riding my 2020 Vapor for a second season.

The 16 Vapor lithium was my favorite ski and I wish I never sold mine.

To continue with the trend, my son started on a TRA and is now on a Senate. I'm sure there are other skis that would work well, but the TRA was a great first slalom.

I follow 6Balls routine. Coffee then ski.

Whips work great. The boat doesn't contact anything.

Most marinas just chain or cable together a few logs or power poles and anchor them in place. This may be a much cheaper option if you're allowed this on your lake.

I haul 12 - 5 gallon cans in the back of my truck and usually fill them on my tailgate, however when I'm at Costco, the gas guy makes me lift them to the ground and limits me to 8 cans.

Club boats are typically well maintained, but they do not get the same personal care as a private boat. If you're happy with the condition of the gel and the interior and you know its been serviced, I would have no issue purchasing one.

In Canada, we just slide them across the ice in the winter!

There's always a boat available, you just have to be willing to settle for someone else's build and pay a premium to get it.

I have an aluminum floating dock with whips and had my X14 on it for 5 years without an issue and our lake is very rough mid day. @Zackerondacker what I did to secure my whip mounts was make two stainless plates that fit between the trusses of my dock and I drilled the trusses and bolted these in place. On my top deck since I have plastic flow through decking, I used a 1 inch thick aluminum plate that is approx. 5"x9" that is used as a base on top of my decking to spread out the force for my whip mount. It works great and I have had zero issues in 5 years and have seen some serious wave action.

I see a lot of value in your set up Wish. I'd like to be on the pre order list for one of those!
