  1. I like it @Horton. I like to sit back and learn by seeing what is said by these guys and I also like the opportunity to just pop in and ask a question (on topic) or for clarification of something that they have said. I hope it plays out as intended.
  2. Shouldn't you be asking this on wakeworld.com or some such place? Just sayin' you'd likely have much better luck.
  3. Yikes! Looks like he bit the head right off that other dog!
  4. If you want to save a ton of money, find a Sanger TX (they're tough to find). Skis better than a vdrive and can sit almost as many people. Just a thought.
  5. @Brewski, love the early 'burbs!!
  6. Nice! I can't get good water anywhere around here and you can stand on your porch and spit into 13 lakes. I say this affectionately, but you suck.
  7. LOL @ "He's the perfect student...fearless & no brain"
  8. Did Connelly have a team working with Jamie on design, or was he it? If he was it, it may become tough for them to keep up.
  9. Whew, at first I thought it read "Two of them OF Horton."
  10. One of many here who used to, but haven't in many years. Funny story - back in the young-and-dumb days, I first tried footing using the deepwater start with feet crossed over the rope. Problem was, I didn't have a wetsuit and failed to consider the effect of water shooting up my back between me and my life vest (circa 1980's vest that was as snug as I could get it). Dad hit it and I went straight down. Mom was panicking in the boat because I was gone and the rope went straight down off the back of the boat. I don't know how deep I was when I let go, but it was pitch black and it took a LONG time before I could even see light as I floated to the top. Glad it was deep water at Shasta!
  11. @LOTW, skis are great, but you really need to expand your horizons on the "sleeping with the vapor" and "keeping warm" thing.
  12. Do they get to choose the boat? Not an issue for CP and Nate, but isn't Regina a Malibu skier?
  13. "Environmental regulators are starting work on broad new rules..." The very first statement of the article sums up the problem. We don't need "broad new rules".
  14. No red...ever. Strictly personal experience, but every red boat I've been around (previous one of ours, other family, friends) has had problems. Stupidstitious - I know.
  15. @Horton, I think you misread the numbers. You meant to say 95 didn't you??!
  16. Something must not be working with my email service since I'm in Nor Cal but didn't get the email. Please resend. Darn it - so close!
  17. The blue metallic looks very cool.
  18. Someone above mentioned using lead in a weighting system, that's why I brought it up.
  19. Good grief, Roy G Biv is taught at what, the 5th grade level?! And that is an awesome looking site. Where is that?
  20. @Horton, I don't have a clue on any of this, but my comment would be a word of caution about using any lead if this lake is in CA. This state is going berzerk over the use of lead in any fashion, so I could just imagine someone telling you that the course had to be pulled or redone because you've used lead in any way.
  21. I can drive to Bako to pick it up and save you the shipping! Or, you if you want to deliver it up here, I can take you on some winery or brewery tours. Whatever works best for you!
  22. The spacing could easily be modified to fit 2 pieces on there to get the desired coverage if you feel 1 bar leaves too much space. Lighter pvc would be better in that case. This design would definitely prevent any "sail" effect.
  23. I've always used a 12" handle, but recently bought a Radar Control 13" handle and it's just too big since I'm not a big guy and don't need the space. It's brand new (still has tags and never touched water) if anyone is interested in a good deal on a handle.
  24. Awesome shot! We had to get our daughters' senior pics done this year and it's nice having a creative photographer.
