@rayn the Radar release is still basically the same as before.

@RGilmore I actually have seen a pair of skis with the Cubco bindings hanging on the wall in a Zaxbys. @mbabiash the Voile bindings are very similar and Voile actually makes the adjustment screw for me. The MOB release is derived directly from the ARC release built by @Deanoski . I started using the ARC in ‘93 and continued using it until I had to start making replacement parts in 2013. Then I updated the design and materials to develop what I am building today.

@MickeyThompson I did not heat mold them yet. They should fit even better after doing that. Like you, I never thought about how the boot was performing, it just did and I felt comfortable with it.

@EFW the 2022 Vapor boot is a game changer for the sport! Everyone can benefit from this boot design. When Brooks first showed it to me I told him it covered every item that I was envisioning in a boot. I just didn’t have $200K to spend on R&D...

@EFW got my second set with the new Vapor boot today at Matt Rini’s lake. I find the boot very comfortable and had no problems with adjusting to using it, in fact never even thought about the boot while skiing. I really liked everything about the boot. I used the boot with the screw in back removed allowing the cuff to articulate. Great product! And works great with the MOB release system.

I make a lot of different style guards for different handles and different amounts of coverage so skiers can choose for their needs. All on the MOB website...

@pinelakerider @aupatking It would have to be done/cut by a professional to have that fit and logos cut in the EVA material. Who has the patterns? Who has a machine that can handle that job? Looks great. We have a '98 that will need new flooring soon.

It should be a great event, maybe a little wet, but the first two have been a lot of fun with great skiing.

@SlalomSteve I replaced the laces on my HRT with stretchy laces. Have used it like this for a couple of years now. Very little difference from my low cut r style half boot. And like @ScottScott I do not use all the lace loops.

@BraceMaker yes, the toe cap is removable and actually allows for interchangeable sizes to adjust boot sizing. The cuff is removable also. Of note the cuff can be fixed position or articulating. @Ray the bottom might be slightly thicker, and I was told there is an insert to make the inside sole flat but I did not take the liner out.

@gavski the new Radar boot is much more, a lot of great new performance features and fit.

@The_MS the mounting hole pattern for the boot is the same as before. Awesome looking boot can’t wait to get one to try.

@schnipdip I can make a G10 adapter plate. I have also adapted the EXO boots to the MOB release system.

@jeidmann The problem is not necessarily with the r style, switching from a vapor style boot to a hardshell boot such as Reflex can be extremely difficult. If you like the vapor boots, I can set you up a MOB release system that uses that boot. Boot style and fit is very much a personal preference. Use what you like and what is comfortable, use a MOB release for safety.

@Booze some skiers need more finger room than others. 3.5” clearance works for most, but some need more. I have a variety of options in sizes and shapes, I will bring some different versions when I come down to ski. @OldboyII The gap between the guard and handle is unavoidable, but is likely only a problem if you fall into the handle while continuing to hold the handle. Otherwise it is likely that the guard would deflect re-insertion of your hand. Falling forward into the handle while holding on can result in the same type injury as without a handle guard. The main goal here is preventing your head from going through the bridle. That pretty much insures death. Each skier can choose what coverage best suits their needs.

@dchristman yep, I use my dremel tool with flap wheel sander to grind nubs down. @ReallyGottaSki that method might work better with paracord. But that looks good.

@Andre here are two of my high coverage handle guards, shown with optional strap to the handle. v10 fits 13 inch handles, and v11 fits 12 inch, or 13 inch handles with extra finger space.

@Drago I have lightened the system somewhat, I started using @Deanoski ’s system in ‘93 and was running deep 39off at 34mph on it. Though it was lighter by the time I started with it. My current build:

@6balls that would indeed be a cool engine to put in your bubble butt SN, but it would still back to the port side, your GT40 is a left hand rotation motor, the power plus transmission reverses the prop rotation. We just put an Excalibur 343 and zero off into our ‘98 bubble butt. Sold the GT40 for 2K$.

@skialex I use 1/8” hdpe to make my handle guards, stiff enough to prevent deflection.
