  1. Hi There is a Radar P6 71" on ski it again for 145. IT is a very nice ski with underestmated capabilities capable of short line skiing. Best luck Peter
  2. @JTDixon. I am just a beginner. My coach do not recommend any advanced skito start with. Hence I am on Radar Theory. You Will most likely progress faster with a more forgiving ski. The Vector bindings are very very comfortable. Best luck Peter
  3. Lately I am getting more serious in snow skiing gates (SL, GS). Snow slalom skis flex are measured in some different ways. For example Atomic/ Salomon produce a large number of skis and then measure the flex figures per ski. Based on the figures they pair them. I used the 2007 Atomic SL skies with flex 38/27 and that is number of mm flex under certain specified load. (It is also refereed to when define the ski radius R=12,5m). I would assume that this could be/is similar for competition slalom water skies? After all they are hand made and must most likely have slightly different flex figures.
  4. We still have 2 feet of ice so I am waiting and waiting and ..... know I will start season in a very very cold water :0( Type 40F. last year I skied in 45 and that was felt like sort of my lower limit. A lot of rain this week and tomorrow it will be sunny and warm. Got me a beanie (spelling?) yesterday. Plan to purchace additional socks next week. I hope to be able to squeze in 2 pair of 2.0 mm in my Vectors. One pair works ok. There will be a summer this year, I know it. The only questions is when?
  5. Thanks @SkiJay Sorry, maybe a small bit of topic? I am currently on dlb Vector Al plate on my Theory. Works very fine for me. I do not deserve a better ski at the moment but Hey - I thought every serious water skier must have a spare ski so my X-mas gift to myself was a Senate with dbl Vector FF =0) I am just interested to know what I am missing not going for the Strada boots in ski performance and in safety?
  6. Any comment on Strada versus Vector boots in safety and skiing performance?
  7. Hi @ral The Finnish Water Ski Sports Association's website http://www.northwater.fi/ Club list: http://www.northwater.fi/seurat/ I can see a few in Helsinki area. Google Crome can translate quite ok. You are always welcome to Stockholm (much closer than Norway ;0). There are some times boat trips for as low as 50 USD T/R. We have approx 10 clubs within 2 h from Stockholm (~5 in Sto area). You can most likely be guest in any club. I will for sure invite any Baller in as guest in my club. Here are a few: LVSK (My club) http://www.vattensportklubben.se/ Älta sjön (No website but if you would like to google location) Lida, Tullinge http://www8.idrottonline.se/LidaVSK-Vattenskidor/ Nacka Järla sjön http://nackavsk.se/?home Svenska Vattenskidförbundet (Sweden water Ski Association's website) Will show many Sweden clubs (I would assume there are about 100 total) http://iof3.idrottonline.se/SvenskaVattenskid-Wakeboardforbundet/ Best luck! Peter
  8. Is there any difference in the Senate: - 2011 - 2012 - 2013 model?
  9. Thanks for prompt answer @waterskigirl If they are newly produced (not using old rubber from storage) and the material is equally excellent (warm, durable, elastic etc) as the Black Tec I am interested. When are the Black Tec expected to arrive? Do they have manufacturing problems or distribution problems?
  10. Morning Horton Yes of course I will if you think that would add value! My friend order from NZ to Dallas (1-2 weeks) Then send it with next Ericsson friend that go to Stockholm and have space in the luggage 0-5 weeks more. Then I have to wait for the ice at the club to disappear and water to warm up slightly lets say May 10th best case. We will for sure use the Wakeye for a coaching session in Italy June 5th -10th. After this I can try to provide an additional '15 off review' =0)
  11. What material is used for the opencell? Are they equally soft and durable? When do you have them ready for shippment? What price?
  12. @jdarwin I took your advice since I am on the just between S and M. I also added a pair of liners (one S and one M to find out what size I need) I hope I now can alter between different gloves to save the hands for my June coached training. Five days with 3-4 sets per day in salt water is plenty but I can just not stop skiing when I have the chance. We still have some ice and it is 'new Ice all over' every morning.
  13. Thanks Horton I have contacted them. Wakeye with I-Phone and regular knob fittings are approx 310 incl shipping and small tax to US. This is a bit on the expensive side but I only live once and can share this with a friend. (Shipping was approx 27 USD in case some Baller wants one). My friend from Dallas will ask someone to bring it over to me. I hope to get it in time for first training coached session in June. Gd night!
  14. Hi Ballers I might should have asked my questions a bit better: - Is there normally any need to verify factory settings (what ever they are?)? - Does anybody recommend to change anything to make me progress faster? What would be a suitable Theory 67" Dbl Vector setting? I am still a beginner. brgds Peter
  15. I am looking forward for the video (beer drinking coached video session). At least final bottles..... =0))
  16. Wakeye is produced in NZ. Does anybody know what the total price would be in US (incl tax and shipping). ?? Can I order one test version directly from Horton =0) ?? To Sweden it is normally 100% extra costs....
  17. I have similar question. I am a definitive Radar Theory skier and do not deserve a new ski but fall into the Left Lane winter super deal on a regular Senate. So now I have two skis to choose from..... Both have dbl Vectors so that is not an issue. You can find my ski video in the forum (beginers first pass in Italy) Have a nice weekend Peter
  18. Hi Chef23 Thanks for the advice. I will try a pair of XS even though they are really on the small side. However, I will try to get Kevlar liners with my other gloves since I believe that my hands last a bit longer if I use different gloves. Any hint on size here I will ship to a friend in Dallas that will bring it next time he travels back home. Swedish customs are not nice: ( (Product Price+Shipping+Insurance) * approx 5% custom) and then finally * 25% sales tax.
  19. I have the same question? I am a Radar Theory skier and do not deserve a new ski but this winter Let Lane had such a great offer on the Senate so now I have two to choose from...... Both have the Dbl Vectors so that is not a problem. What ever makes me develop fastest? Peter
  20. I plan to try a pair to have more options in case of hand problems. What size do you recommend on pro locks? I use XS in Master Curves but they are really small and hurt after one full set. Have also Radar Strada size M that fits ok. What size on kevlar liners? Also, is there a prefeerd internet dealer for BOS members? Thnxs for advice. Brgds from a cold stockholm Spring is late, still two feet of ice............. Peter
  21. Why can one not trust middle holes? On my low level, do I need to check my skis and binding positons? Do I need to check fin settings as well? Running Radar Theory, Senate with Vectors..... Brgds Peter
  22. My two cents Write a contract that assume you will become enemies and have to sell the boat. The job is the jurney, not the end result. Also, if every body chip in 99% it will fail but if every body chip in 101% it can last for ever. Best luck Peter
  23. Looks great. However a bit pricy. What other options are there?
  24. I plan to start free skiing. Our season is short and it is important for me to quickly build up the muscles. I assume we will put in the boat in early May when it is really cold water (type 25F) Also nobody in the club likes to dive an put back the bois when it is that cold.
  25. Yes stronger engines with bigger props and more gear reduction helps. But I would assume there are still improvements that can be done with more sensors to the ZO. Another improvement (At least for me as a beginner) would be to get help keeping a steady course. Maybe to have the driver seat in the center of the boat, to have sensors that slightly could impact the steering servo etc if I am off center of the course. When running 15 off a few feet off track can be manageable. Assume I drive a skill fulled skier and are not driving ok.... he could become a bit annoyed.... I might give him some turns at 44 off and some at 38 off using 41 off rope.
