  1. Water Temp near Atlanta; 73º and air temp today around 70º. I am south of town about 30 miles but the N. GA lakes are cooler.
  2. SIA is a very good sight but when you're dealing with people, things can happen. I'd say 99+% of deals will be good but things can happen. Myself and a friend of mine just had an issue on a 2010 Nautique where the boat checked out during the test drive but when we got home, it wouldn't crank, had hydro-locked with water in the pistons. We bought the boat "as is" but "as is" was a 9 out 10 clean functional boat. I felt the seller should have given us back some money after doing an oil analysis on the engine and proving what went on. At this point, he has denied any money being returned. I'm thinking strongly about putting all the facts on SIA and getting opinions on what others think should be done just in case "I'm wrong."
  3. @skiep has a very good system. I use a system indentical to your design that Slade Cole engineered. My best advice is to get the green 3/16 nylon rope from HOme Depot as it doesn't twist. If your rope begins twisting between the pulley and sub buoy, it will not self-level properly. Of course, the sub buoy has to be the right size in order for the course buoy to be at the right height. The only issue other than twisting that I've had is that I need to tweek the design for the few buoys that I have in shallow water; 3 to 5 feet. In this case the sub buoy will hit the buoy and not self-level. Good luck; you're on the right track.
  4. @OSSKI , any thoughts of also showing the speed and line length American terminology? I still don't know the metric system like many others. Love what you're doing, though.
  5. The 654 is the prop to get and I would get your damaged prop re-conditioned for a back-up.
  6. I have read this entire thread and I see several good ideas. Adding a "promo fee" to the entry fee may be the way to go. I think "now" we need to ask the Big 3 to read this thread, create a "Promo" committee and determine what will be done different in 2020 and act now. Make a change in 2020 and then review at the end of the year then make improvements in 2021; and so on.
  7. I agree. A white-on-white boat with that blue interior and faux teak Sea-Dek makes for a great color combination.
  8. The only tournament ski boat in Atlanta is the Ski Nautique. Mastercraft and Malibu only brought Wakeboard Boats. WaterSports Central is on board with promoting the ski boat, the ski industry, and WaterSports in general. They even have something they promote called Ladies on the Lake.
  9. Atlanta is this weekend; Thur - Sunday. WaterSports Central should have a Ski Nautique there and that's where I'll be.
  10. It was "great" to be a part of that event. A lot of fun............even if I didn't ski.
  11. I believe, whatever you get, the best fit for torque on the back may be the Evinrude E-Tec. They are still 2 stroke and many of the ski shows (I think) use them. Just my 2 cents worth.
  12. Use a 1.125 (or largest available) with radius. There are less radius' available it seems but I believe you can special order them. I know years ago, HO bent one for me. Currently, I use a 13" straight w/dia of 1.125..............no more problems.
  13. Yesterday, 74 air, 61 water; 30 mi. S of Atlanta (the day before Thanksgiving).
  14. @E_T , I have the DI, 6.2 and it calls for running 93 Octane so I assume that’s supposed to support clean valves. I also have the 6.2 in my Chevy Silverado with 152K miles and I normally run 93; haven’t had any problems. Another options is to occassionally ad a fuel additive if you don’t run Premium Gas.
  15. The first thing I look at on the report is the Severity Status in the top/right upper corner. This one is a ‘2’ which is abnormal, meaning a few values are flagged on the report. Then, look at the report, particularly the color-coded items that are ‘out of bounds’ to a degree. Last, get the trend of the next sample compared to this one. If you fill out the paperwork correctly, they both show on the next report.
  16. I have done a few in the past but I hope to establish a trend on my 2020 boat next year in order to post here. I'm in the Oil Industry in Industrial Lubricant Sales so this is right down my alley. In fact, your report comes from the same lab that I use via Lubrication Engineers, Inc. The lab does private labelling but it is Polaris Labs.
  17. @EHorton95 , no that site at the top is Southern Waters in Forsyth, GA. This was not the regionals; it was later. @Horton , I know the pic is showing her back but she's much prettier than you. I know we've never met , but hey, just sayin.'
  18. I was Chief Driver and Promo at a Collegiate Tournament in Forsyth, GA this past Sept and met this young lady. @Horton do you know who this might be? :)
  19. @Gloersen, why do you say "use the MOB and not the older version OB4?" I'm still on the OB4; just curious?
  20. I bought Wally’s last year and maybe the year before; I’ve had no problems.

    PCM 6.0 oil

I believe the heavier Vis is due to offset of fuel dilution as idle and heavy throttling creates this dilemma. The heavier Vis oil helps to offset this as the fuel is pulling the viscosity down some.

LELubricants.com is an option with their 8531 Tetra-Syn. This is not a retail product on the shelves but you can buy it online. This is an advanced industrial product built solely on performance and not price. I am biased as I have rep’d this Company for 38 years but have seen some phenomenal results with this product.
  23. @WaterSkier12 , Congrats and Hope to see more of that.
  24. @Kellen417 , thanks for help; that worked except I had the camera in selfie mode and stabilization ‘off’ and when I viewed the videos, the shake was gone but the videos were sideways.......... I had to lean over to look at them. I tried looking for a ‘rotate’ option like you can do with pics but didn’t find it. I’ve still got work to do but I’m getting there.
