  1. @ShaneH leave the deep water start comment alone already!!!!! LOL Trent is a great guy and great coach. He will be back over to my place in the future and @ShaneH maybe you will be able to stay longer and crush a few more aluminum cans!!!! :)
  2. Congrats Horton! Enjoy it as we all know you will!
  3. Congrats post some pics!
  4. @Horton - this is an opinion poll isn't it? Other than the fact there is a picture of a woman with a waterski on it to start the thread is it any different than any other thread we all post here looking for others "OPINIONS"? I agree some of you are way too up tight. This is a tasteful picture of a beautiful self confident girl. Leave it at that! If my daughter has the strength and self confidence to do something like this when she gets older all the power too her! The way some of you are responding you'd think this young lady had posted XXX main stream porn on here. Look at the boat manufactures media and promotions to sell their boats now; magazines with young guys and women who are dressed in small bikinis. I've been to boat shows where booths have girls dressed in small bikinis handing out brochures. Why? Because really - I remember who gave me that brochure! :) Oh ya I also have no problem with my wife knowing I liked the picture because my wife would know why and not because I'm going to bed tonight to dream about it!!!
  5. Perfect. I am coming up there in two weeks but don't see my ski coming with me this trip!!!
  6. Cool! Seth will be at Ski Texas this weekend and I think there is still some open spots available? Check deeper into the forum and contact Jim.
  7. @onamission - Trent was here last weekend and we had a great time. You will have fun!
  8. I get to ski year round here in Texas so Florida doesn't really excite me too much.
  9. @lhoover - @ShaneH can destroy some aluminum cans too. If it wasn't for the fact that it was a Sunday clinic and the need to work on Monday I'm betting he would have shown me that talent of his too!
  10. It was an awesome day! Great fun, great people, good skiing, and some great laughs too. And yes Trent is a great coach! I think I need to shout out to Miller Lite to sponsor the next one seeing how many dead cans I have around here today! LOL
  11. Had a great day with Trent today coaching at Ski Texas. 8 students/skiers and many passes with complete and specific constructive coaching! We had a blast and thanks to all who came out! Hell yes even Shane Hill had fun! :) @Horton I think someone said today that you'd have enjoyed the day here too! :)
  12. @Bulldog & @schafer Can honestly say after chatting with our old neighbors just south of Edmonton - I'm so very happy my work made me move!!!! :) I used to start skiing May 1st and ski until Oct 31st just to say I skied 1/2 the year. It was pricey too because good dry suits and wet suits aren't cheap. Good luck boys hope the ice melts soon!
  13. Damn I sure don't miss that anymore!!!! :)
  14. Awesome and congrats! I remember that joyous feeling 16 years ago! Have fun and enjoy every minute! :)
  15. There are lots of good skis out there for you. HO has a great line up, D3, Radar, Goode. Look on ski-it-again.com there's some great deals to be had. Where in Canada are you from? Maybe there is some demo shops in your area?
  16. I'm a few hours away but always more than willing to give anyone a tug if they are in the Houston area?
  17. @ShaneH - you didn't know Jim was my neighbor? LOL Built my house right next to him! Like I said I need o get you and Trent over for some skiing and cold pops! And just ask Jim.............I ALWAYS have cold pops in the fridge!!! :)
  18. Thank you @Texas6 one day I will get around to meeting more of the guys on this site. Just need to get my a** home for a while. Ah the joys of working abroad!!!!
  19. My family got transferred to Texas (Houston Corporate office) a few months ago. We literally just moved into our private lake ski home less than 2 weeks ago. Love love love it!!!!!!! 2 large airports in Houston I'm 20 mins south of the rat race and live in a rural area. The people in our community have been wonderful. My research tells me there is approximately 9 ski lakes within an hour of downtown Houston! I could be wrong and maybe Shane H can better hit the number for you. I skied every month since we moved down here as we rented only 5 mins away while we were building. Lots of other sites within 4 - 5 hours drive as Shane also pointed out. You should take a few days and come visit the area............I'm sure you'd like it a lot as well! Now I just need to become a better skier so I can chill with the likes of some of the rest of the guys on here! Bu that said it seems like most wouldn't mind a weak link, and I know I will get better - I have too the lake is only 27 1/2 feet from my back porch and boat is about 22 steps away from the back door! :) Good luck in making your choice dude. Oh ya did I tell you that I LOVE MY HOUSE! :)
  20. Got 4 passes in today! Was a good day. Friends, neighbors, work done on home..............oh ya and CANADA won GOLD early this morning! :)
  21. It was well worth getting up early for! :)
  22. Let me know if you're ever in Houston. 3 Hours from Austin.
  23. I skied a couple times over the weekend! :)
