  1. Matt, I’ve got a lot of questions for you :)
  2. I hate to mention any problems, but the “search” feature is unusable right now. If I search D3 Ion settings this is what I get. Even if I choose “exact phrase”. The last screenshot is the thread I’m looking for that I can only find by looking from my own posts, or scrolling pages down the main forum page. I don’t know if there’s anything that you can do to remedy this one either
  3. For what it’s worth @jad4100 no one is buying a nicer new boat than what you are selling, for anything near what you are asking. If I could be in the market for a new/used boat right now, I’d still be considering your boat. It’s beautiful with low hours.
  4. I wouldn’t be surprised to see 200’s with the 6.0 and later 6.2 still getting a premium price, but these old ones with the 5.7 were just too underpowered to get what some people think they are worth.
  5. I hear he’s going to EP
  6. Nothing good to say about that boot setup/system other than, when you’re skiing, it’s fantastic! When you fall, it is an ER trip waiting to happen. It has fundamental flaws. My buddy tried some 400 due to prereleases and broke his Tib and Fib because it didn’t release. I had it setup EXACTLY like Goode used to recommend and broke my Talus in a fall that would have been a total snoozer in ANYTHING else. There are others who have used it for years and will totally disagree, but I’m not risking another broken bone for their opinion
  7. My lake owner was a 38 Off skier in his prime. He got on a new ski at the end of last season that he hasn’t been able to run -28 on. -28 is automatic for him, but this ski just didn’t ride right for him. He finally got some new fin numbers from the manufacturer and I set it up for him Tuesday and all of a sudden, he was BACK! The difference in proper ski setup is TREMENDOUS! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you, @adamhcaldwell and @AdamCord for your setup numbers in the Denali section of this site, both for my C75 and my current C85. I don’t know enough to take a ski out and “make up” my own setup numbers, and I have read the “Fin Whisperer” book. I can tweak a fin, once I get it very close to where I like it, but again, I have to be very close before my limited knowledge helps me. Thanks again for the support you guys put into your skis.
  8. If you’re on public water that’s large enough for the boat getting up to speed to not be an issue, the main thing you want to look for is the boat path being straight as the skier starts their gate pullout. You don’t want to slingshot them out. That “slingshot” in itself is not a killer, but makes consistent gate practice very difficult. I’m pretty sure a turn in the direction where the skier would pull out into slack would be worse. My funky little lake has a “swerve” into the pre gates that probably gives the driver 100 feet to get lined up before the 55 balls. That’s short.
  9. If I wanted to hear that music, it would be on in my boat. It’s generally kids trying to be impressive. When it’s adults..... Yes, your lake complex should have distinct rules. Enforcement should be left to HOA. Reasonable music is one thing, and should be tolerated, but I should not be forced to hear it. Decibel meters are $15-$20 on Amazon. Anything over X dbs measured from the shore gets the boat owner/family cited. It honestly seems likely a pretty reasonable and simple policy to get enacted. At least brought to consideration by the HOA board.
  10. Here is HO’s sizing chart. Looks like you’d be on the 67 at 185 pounds, but you’re very close to the bottom of that size scale. You could probably consider the 66 as well, but that really is a personal “feel” decision. https://files-us-prod.cms.commerce.dynamics.com/cms/api/nwtfklkdlc/binary/MA3Jxj
  11. Whatever ski you go with, stick with the same boots. Find the boots that fit you best. I have more sets in Radar boots than anything other than my Reflex releasable boot setup, and really feel comfortable skiing up to my limits in their Vector line, up to their Vapor line of boots. I would not go lower than their Vectors. I have not found an HO boot I like other than the old rubber Animal boot, or their top Syndicate releasable boot. D3 also make very good boots, but my only experience is in their Leverage rubber boot, and it was positive as well. Are you a double boot, or front boot, rear toe skier? I will always be a fan of releasable boots, like the Reflex, Syndicate, and even the Vapor used as a releasable boot, but that change may be something that you would want to sort out after getting comfortable in something you like and on a ski you like
  12. As @Horton said, which I totally agree with, if you ski mainly tournaments pulled by Nautiques, you’ll need to ski it a good bit to get used to it. At 14 and 13 meters, the wake is not good. I have not driven the new Nautique, but have driven the Prostar and the TXi and liked driving both. If it’s me on the dock, I want to ski behind the Prostar. If it’s me buying a new boat, it’s the Prostar. If I were buying a used boat, it’s a tossup between a big engined 200 and any engine in a Prostar.
  13. I’ll buy the 200 from you so you can buy a boat that is supposed to have monkey bars B)
  14. I got it Travis. Thank you! I’ll be updating 3 units real soon.
  15. @Broussard really? I wonder if it’s just a timing thing on what quality rubber you get and when? I have a Masterline I used for a season and an In-Tow I’ve used for 3. Both with Kevlar gloves. My Masterline has deep hand grooves where my first In-Tow has almost none
  16. In-Tow spectra handles are the best I’ve used. Masterline are good, but fray and the handle rubber wears faster. I have tried HO, Radar, Masterline, and In-Tow. They are all good products but the In-Tow handles have been the best, by a wide margin
  17. The Radar Lyric is the female specific version of the Senate. Same exact shape and dimensions, but (I’m summing it up in my own terms) different layup of materials in order to achieve differing flex for women. Great ski. Radar designs their top ski, the Vapor, and then widens that shape in 0.2” increments, making its product line the Vapor, +0.2” Senate/Lyric, +0.2” Union, +0.2 Session. This gives skiers all the way up and down the spectrum the new design feeling and attributes of their world class Vapor. * In the same ballpark as the Lyric is the Connelly Carbon V and the HO Omni. * I don’t work for Radar, nor am I even on one currently. I do, very much, like them and believe their design philosophy works. I’m also a ski nerd who will probably own this years Vapor at some point this summer.
  18. I think @ToddL is on to something. As far as the 3 pictures go, notice the perspective: yours is straight down the line, while theirs must be from the observers seat. If the perspective were the same, I’m betting you could draw a line down the rope to their inside hip (left going to 1 ball).
  19. All I can picture when I think “make it more personality based” is WWE wrestling. I’d love to see Freddie come in with a flying heel kick to Nate as he is putting on his ski on the dock. Gotta think people would watch that. Masks and capes too Seriously though, I wouldn’t change what TWBC is doing as far as tournament coverage. People just need to know what competitive waterskiing is, and that it’s out there. So many people think waterskiing is show skiing and Tony Klarich skiing a cooler. I’ve always thought that did more harm to competitive waterskiing than good. Made people think it was gimmicky and kitschy..... to me. It’s like putt-putt and long drive competitions as compared to actual golf.
  20. As Horton said, try putting more weight forward or back on the ski to see what it likes. Typically you’d find too much of the tip of the ski in the water makes it want to bite when maybe it shouldn’t. Here is the settings chart for 2020 HO skis, as I just made a guess to your year Omni, but they haven’t really changed anything. If you measure from the base of the front boot heel, let’s say 1/2 an inch to 1 inch above the plate (really depends on your boot) to the tail of the ski, that should let you know where your boot is. The “middle holes” don’t always put you where the ski is designed to be ridden.
  21. I’ve heard a bunch about quick set. I think the ends curve so the boats can get up speed
