  1. @MISkier & @Wish yep, I was on the shore today and it was amazing because it looked so smooth.
  2. I don’t think ver. 8 has the quick auto speed calibration that does not require a course.
  3. I am with @Wish on this one. Wow, what a deal. I wasn’t looking for a boat but this would have been a nice upgrade. We should start a poll, Who didn’t bid because you thought the reserve was +$18K?
  4. Horton that sounded fine. No problem with volume too low here.
  5. Question is, was the reserve met? I also looked at it with one day left and eBay will not show you what the reserve is.
  6. @skihard yep, but that other guy is wishy washy so if you want to ski in Charleston first weekend in May I have a spare room. ?
  7. @aupatking do you want me to send you one of the custom set screws? I had to buy a 10 pack. PM me your address.
  8. @Ski_Dad version 9.0 is definitely worth the $ to upgrade. It really does lock in faster. I can’t comment on Zbox.
  9. @adamhcaldwell Thanks. I was thinking of using a Dremel and file but I want to keep the top edge as perfectly flat/smooth as possible.
  10. @APB I kinda think your comment is only a joke but if it's a real question here you go. Link Trainer loop = any loop between standard rope length.
  11. PS: I don’t Not recommend drilling the block by hand, the bit will probably grab because of the slot. Use a drill press.
  12. This was discussed a long time ago back on page 8, I apologize if it was beat to death, I have not read all 20 pages of this thread. To get the DFT setting I want I have been putting an O-ring pick between the set screw and fin to push fin forward enough. I bought some Nylon tip set screws from McMaster-Carr to fix this. YES, I know if the fin is really snug the nylon could compress a little as I am trying to make adjustments. That is a minor inconvenience. I had a professional machinist drill out the block where the set screw tip pushes DFT forward (A). I now have a new minor issue that was unexpected. The fin will not move more to the front because the front setscrew (length adjust screw) is contacting fin. I plan to have my machinist friend remove 0.15-0.20” from this spot to make clearance (B). Part # 90291A407, 5/16-24 x ½”. A little longer would have been better but they only had 0.5” or 1.0” length.
  13. @skihart you do have a point there. I’ll give you $250 for the used Zbox. But I forgot to tell you that your portion of the AirBnB cleaning fee is $249. Back on topic, Zbox rocks for old boats (I guess, haven’t tried it yet).
  14. @disland I’ll give that a shot. I thought last year I tried both my 7 and 5s with the same unwatchable result.
  15. @skihard bring it and I won’t charge you for a ride to the airport. Fair trade?
  16. @Rednucleus a Zbox upgrade is on my list, just need to get back into ski shape so I can appreciate the difference.
  17. I assume a boat from 2001 has a mechanical throttle? I have always wondered if Zbox works better on one or the other.
  18. @disland but how do you download and old version of the app after you have updated it to the new non working version?
  19. What is sad is that back in the day, the app worked great on my old iPhone 5s. Now I have a 7 and as stated above totally unusable. Never update the app if it’s working good.
  20. @Zman a friend of mine does exactly that. Some how he uses the Wakeye app to start & stop his GoPro.
  21. Watching video of someone run 41off in March is even better marketing.
  22. Yeah, that blue ski looks like a race car. I was thinking someone should snatch it up!

    BOS

@Ski_Dad back in the day on BOS when you clicked on a thread in would always open to the next unread post. At least that’s how it was on an iPhone. That feature stopped working probably three years ago or more.
  24. @AdamCord ass draggers size up. That's a simple formula to follow. Thanks.
