Mirage ski boats

I see Mirage makes a direct drive ski boat.Has anyone skied behind one and if so how are they?

I don't think Mirage Powerboats made it through the economic downturn. Even so, they were geared more as a watersports towboat and not a slalom boat.

This is the same guy that made Tiger Trax ski boats, I heard he also bought the Mirage line.

The ski boat is 94 Nautique hull, that is shot with a chopper gun. You want nothing to do with this guy. Do a Google search on Tiger Trax boats.

Is there builders other than the big four getting back into production of good direct drive slalom boats?

Tige never stopped making a direct drive slalom boat.

Gekko, they seem to have a following.

We slalom in a tournament once a year behind a Gekko, terrific wake. A little wider then the big 4 but soft and really small even a slow speeds which is good for kids.

2008 Gekko for 20k. Doesn't say if it has speed controls.

Thanks, so they make them in TN. Guess I should have searched here first. I sent them an email saturday trying to find pricing for their smaller V-drive, on the off chance that it is in the Moomba Outback V range. Trying to figure out a new/newish boat for next year to replace our runabout and there are not too many options in the affordable 20ish ft v drive category.
