Skiing and Senior Photos!

Wanted to change up the typical senior photo, so what did we do? Lit the pool on fire!!!! Big thanks to Sam Marvin which any of you ballers in the west know from the last three regionals down in Sacramento and Idaho!

Awesome shot! We had to get our daughters' senior pics done this year and it's nice having a creative photographer.

Pretty ballsy but very cool. What did you use in the pool to light it up?

We used Coleman camping gas @texas6

Wow...I suppose you can always go under water in a pinch but that still makes me nervous - but the pic is cool

So.. showed this to my daughter. Thought for sure when I said it was his senior photo she would say something negative. Which I would understand. Not exactly a girl thing. What I got was ; "...that's AWESOME!! ...can I do that??!!! ". We have some time before she's that age so opinions may change but her reaction was not what I expected. But how cool is that!

I've been thinking about getting a graduation photo of me in my cap & gown running the course, though I didn't think of doing any types of photos like these. I may consider it now...

Coolest sr. photo I have ever seen. been teaching HS for 12 years! I sent this to my wife and said we are doing the same thing when my son is a sr.!!!!

@gsm_peter - that would be so cool! But... consider what would happen if the flamable fuel splashed up on to the skier or equipment...

 

Please note that stunt professionals use fire retardant protection when doing things like this. Just everyone be safe and think through all the possible complications or failures that could occur and account for them with a plan and protections. Last thing that competitive skiing needs is some bad press about how someone was injured doing something with fire. Plus, we don't wany anyone in our skiing community to get hurt.

Senior pictures? This is my buddy Ed 78 years young and still single skiing -does this count as a 'senior picture'?
