Well Im the guy who bought the boat I'm in the process of getting the gauges fixed they will not power up the only gauge that works is the zero off. Sure wish they would have disclosed it to me before I paid for it.it would still be I'm Bakersfield

first off like I said, it only had happened once to us, of course we would of disclosed it if it happened all the time! I'm sorry I don't know what happened. That is a clean boat that you got a great deal on.

Sorry to hear that @dougski. Hope it doesn't cost too much to fix. Sucks when you spend that much and find out the seller isn't honest. "Only happened once". Yeah right.

@dougski - if it is set up anything like a Malibu then there is a single ground wire that attaches to the dash panel, if that pops off then all the gauges except the PP/ZO are dead.

Is that the one that was listed just under 40,000?? We paid 5,000 under that for one new in 2009. People are asking and paying crazy money for them.

Hey Cole not saying its not clean boat. I have sent the TAC to Jody @ Florida inboards hoping that was the problem.that's the first gauge off the wire harness.the rest the the gauges are daisy chained to it.Jody installed in a 08 and it worked fine.bummer.back to the drawing board

No wish didn't test drive. I'm in Montana had a buddy who was in the area bring it home. Had it winterized and shrink wrapped at galleys marine.the mechanic noted on repair order gauges working intermittently.also had stefe check the boat out and said it was a cream puff.I thought with 192 hrs.I would be safe.I might add Greg who brought the boat to mt taped off the trailer.and the boat showed up perfect.Iwill be spraying his weeds on his lake lot this summer.thanks again greg

Had to replace gateway module in one of my 196s when the gauges all quit working.

Thanks Shane h there's juice to it and to the gauges i guess that do not mean its not the gateway box.blower heater stereo nàv lights horn all work.any ideas on how to tell if the gateway box is bad thanks doug

All breakers are in? May be behind footwell

Yes all breakers are in I got dash and foot well apart checking all connections also checked all connections on motor very frustrating. It !makes me want to drink beer

@dougski On mine the breakers all looked OK but there was one that was tripped. Didn't find it until I cycled it.

We have a communication started with one of the engineers at Nautiques trying to get to the bottom of Doug's problem gauge's. I keep thinking it is something right up front that we are missing kinda like "if it was a snake it would have bit us"

No Steve haven't got the gauges working. I have put on 5 hours on the boat and the gauges did work! For a total of 5 min. Doesn't sound like its intermittently.They should have said they only work intermittently work.

Hey jedgell you get your 196 yet I'd like to trade you out wheels and your gateway box. How does that sound.
