Baller UWSkier Posted October 9, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2019 @m_pags interesting that at almost 2 bills and skiing 32 MPH the 67 supports you well. I'm 250 lbs and on a 2019 71" but maybe I need to try a 69 in the 2020.
Baller m_pags Posted October 9, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2019 @UWSkier Support is definitely not an issue. I feel like I'm working less on the 67 than the 69. I'm able to keep it on edge through the wakes better. Deep water starts are no more work either. I absolutely Love this ski. Yesterday's 1st ever -32 full pass at Eden Ski Lake was not a fluke. I skied at The Boarding School today with Freddie and improved my score. Straight up the line -15, -22, -28, -32 to 1@ -35. I finished with a new PB of 2@-35 32.3mph. I have a 2019 69" Senate Pro for sale.

Baller Jordan Posted October 11, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 11, 2019 @kk2ski what do you want the ski to do differently in the turn? If I were you I would get in touch with @Chris Rossi , @Swini or @brooks to give you some setup ideas. I haven't heard anyone saying that the vapor pro build doesn't turn well. Baller C5Quest Posted October 11, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 11, 2019 ^^^This. Just trying a ski and deciding it doesn’t work is like using a car without shifting gears. I just moved my bindings 1/8 in on my 2020 Vapor and went from wanting to put it in the trash to loving it.
Baller coach3 Posted October 24, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 24, 2019 @C5Quest Which way did you move your bindings?
Baller C5Quest Posted October 25, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 25, 2019 Running L/S and moved forward to from 29 1/2 to 29 5/8. Seemed to work better for me. Season over now so will maybe need to get a few more sets in Florida or wait until next year.
Baller coach3 Posted October 26, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 26, 2019 Is the Senate faster or slower across course than the Vapor? (34 mph) Anyone have a feel for that?
Baller jskier Posted October 28, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 28, 2019 @coach3 I have tried both skis, size 67. I certainly didn't find the Senate Pro any slower across the course. With more surface area, it was probably actually quicker.
Baller C5Quest Posted October 29, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 29, 2019 I’d say both are very quick
Baller Boo Posted October 31, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 31, 2019 I ski on Goode XTR but would like to try Senate Pro. My best tournament score this year is one-half at 28 off. My top speed is 30mph. I weigh 145. Need to ski 22 off consistently. Would prefer 66 inch but 65 or 67 inch is only choice. I would appreciate suggestions on which length would be best for me. Thanks.

Baller coach3 Posted October 31, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 31, 2019 For a mid 35 off skier, and 150lbs, 34 mph, wondering if a 65" senate would be better assuming it can turn like the vapor? Thoughts?
Baller Deanoski Posted October 31, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 31, 2019 @coach3 I think it depends on how much speed you create before the first wake the wider senate is easier to create speed that could help some skier s hurt others, the vapor also shuts down faster so again it depends on what the skiers needs the ski must help the skier. their always give and take. Baller Bill22 Posted October 31, 2019 Baller Share Posted October 31, 2019 @Boo go 65. A 67” would be WAY too big. Disclaimer: this is based off the old Senate. I haven’t ridden the new Senate.
Baller Boo Posted November 2, 2019 Baller Share Posted November 2, 2019 Thanks for recommendations. Ordered 65 inch today.
FoggyNogginz
Hey guys - would love your feedback. Looking at a Senate Pro and trying to determine size. Currently just getting back into the course at 15 off 32mph, but on a 15 year old ski. 50 years young, and 208lbs. What size do you recommend? Thanks in advance! Baller pregom Posted July 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 16, 2020 69"
Baller KRoundy Posted July 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 16, 2020 @FoggyNogginz If your weight is stable, I'd go with a 69 or a 71 depending upon what you want to do. If you are never going to go faster than 32 a 71 would be OK. Easier getups and stability. If you plan to clear 32, bump up to 34 and start running shorter line, I'd suggest a 69. Baller ReggieO Posted July 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 16, 2020 I switched from a 2016 Vapor to the 2020 Senate Pro and love it! The vapor was a 66 and the Senate is a 65. Great ski and allows me to navigate the course even better!! Into 32 off!!
Baller pregom Posted July 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 16, 2020 I think the max size for a Senate Pro is
Baller WoodySkier Posted July 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 16, 2020 Moved from a 2017 Senate Lithium to the 2020 Senate Pro. Wow does this ski create speed and space easily. Definitely an upgrade and very easy to ski on as the other senates. I’m a 22 off 32 mph skier, sometimes I get into 28, and I can tell with the speed this ski creates that I’ll make some 28 off passes this year. Baller UWSkier Posted July 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 16, 2020 I'm 245-250 lbs and on a 71" Senate and it's plenty of ski at 34 MPH. My next one will actually be a 69" probably. I'd go with a 69 all day at your weight and 32 MPH.
Baller Windsurfnut Posted July 16, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 16, 2020 @WoodySkier I'm also on a 2017 Senate Lithium, 22' 32mph skier. The 2017 Lithium is no slouch for creating speed. Any downside moving to the Pro for you?
Baller WoodySkier Posted July 17, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 17, 2020 @Windsurfnut not really, the pro is more refined and faster. The only downside is the price!
Baller paul413ski Posted July 18, 2020 Baller Share Posted July 18, 2020 @FoggyNogginz 69 at 208 pounds I’m at 215 pounds on the 69 and it works great
Baller Mastercrafter Posted October 9, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2020 Digging up an older thread. Would like some thoughts. I've been skiing on a 2018 67" Vapor Pro Build as of late. The ski is on "indefinite loan" to me, but I think it's a little too high level of a ski for my ability. I free ski at 32 up and down the rope, and am struggling to turn 6 in the course, especially after my broken ankle this spring. I made it a few times last year on an older HO CX Cross, -15/28.6. I need to slow down to 28.6 in the course to start getting rhythm and technique nailed down, but the Vapor wants to run faster, obviously. At 32 or 34, I love the Vapor. It's a hot rod. Considering a 2020/2021 Senate Pro. I've heard nothing but good about them, for both open water and course skiing. I do 50/50. Will there be a noticeable difference and will the Senate be more comfortable at slower speeds? Think it's worth the purchase price to "downgrade" to a Senate from a Vapor? Will I be a happier skier with a little more ski under me? Next question. I'm 5'8", 170lbs. The 65" Senate is "up to 170 lbs" ... do I get the 65" or 67"? Will the 65" Senate still feel more stable than a 67" Vapor? For what it's worth, I've tried a 67" Connelly V and a 67" Katana for some slower skiing, trying to work on technique and turning buoys, and I just can't ski them well. Maybe I'm past the point of "beginner skis" and have spoiled myself with lightweight, carbon skis. Your $0.02 are appreciated.
Baller Dacon62 Posted October 9, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2020 @Mastercrafter 67 Senate good 160-200 lbs. You have been on a 67 Vapor. Would stick with the 67 as you mentioned you will be skiing at slower speeds. Have skied both the 20 Senate and Vapor and preferred the Senate for my level. 32mph 15-28off. 185 lbs. With both skis set to factory setting the Senate is less draggy and easier to ski longer. It will be the perfect ski for the type of skiing you described. Baller Windsurfnut Posted October 9, 2020 Baller Share Posted October 9, 2020 @Mastercrafter Similar situation as both you and @Dacon62 I range from 170-180 lbs, 5'10", ski 32mph 22-28' off. Been on Vapor and Senate shapes, and the 67 Senate is the better ski for me. More support, less fatigue, no downside. Get that speed up, you'll find it easier to get across the course. I can't comment on PROBUILD, but I've skied Alloy, Graphite and Lithium versions. Currently on a Lithium Senate.
Baller_ lpskier Posted October 9, 2020 Baller_ Share Posted October 9, 2020 I skied two sets on a 67” 2020 Senate Pro. I thought it was awesome at 28 and 32 but couldn’t get it going at 35. If I skied on it more I’m sure I could figure it out. Used stock settings at 34 mph. Lpskier
