What do you shout when it’s time to “go”?

For years our skiing routine included “hit it” or just “go” when the skier was ready. We added a couple new guys to our semi regular group and one of them shouted “rinse me off” when he was ready. The rest of us thought that was too cool (low threshold of excitement for sure) so we all individualized our launch. Mine is “let’s rock n roll” because I play guitar. One of the ladies is an opera singer so she starts with “make me sing”. Another is “make it happen cap’n” which has a long and funny story behind it. You get the drift.

 

Are we just easily amused or do others do this?

I had a friend who use to yell “Do Me!” Always thought that was funny before I hit it

Had a lady that used to say 'Whenever you're ready'... so I sat there for a while, she repeated herself 2 more times... I told her 'heard ya the first time' :D

I always start with "in gear" to give the heads up that its almost time, then "I'll follow you." Or "Yup." Or if I'm feeling geeky "Engage."

Due to 1 particular driver I got in a tournament 15+ years ago, the first thing I say is "In Gear".

Whatever you say, say it loud and clear to be sure the driver hears you. One ski partner did this really well. We used to joke that when she yelled "Hitit!", boats would start up at lakes miles away.

My 7 year old skied in her first "competition" last year. She was first off the dock with 6 open level skiers on shore nearby. She let out a "hit it" that woke up the neighborhood. Dad was proud. :D

I’m oldschool, so it’s mostly “OK”, occasionally “whenever you are ready”.

Think it’s best and most safe to not confuse drivers with all sorts of presumably funny phrases.
