Wow! You never know when that Old 3 ball goose is going to get ya.

I saw them as I was coming into the ball. thought I could turn before hitting one, but nope, actually managed to get the base of the ski full on to the biggest one. For a fraction of a second I thought I was skiing away, but nope. The damn thing just swam away. Thankfully no injuries.

Thats the one fault of the Denali: Not enough tip rocker to get over geese.

Seems like the driver should have stopped that one - for any obstruction in the course. Glad you are OK

If we stopped for geese during our sets, we'd be stopping probably 50%+ of our sets and sometimes multiple passes within one set. Yes, we have a goose problem. It's the skier's call to stop skiing or not.

that flock have been around our pond all season. Sometimes we have to wait for them to cross the course when we drop at each end. This time they hid behind an island then swam out as I rounded 2 ball. Like they were ambushing me.

 

@jimbrake this time it was the goose's call for the skier to stop, I did try to keep going :smiley:

@oldjeep driver and spotter did not see them, only when I told them and they looked at the video, I could hear them laughing while looking at the video so I knew it was good

@DaveD the one I hit, I hit hard, full on with the base of the ski. It just laughed and swam away
